Representing the 57th District in the Virginia House of Delegates
Thanks to the Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies for having me at this year’s Women’s Collective Summit. Honored to serve as an Honorary Co-Chair, share remarks, and join a panel on intersectional sisterhood. Grateful for the conversation on leadership, unity, and community.
Tonight we celebrate @shannontaylorva.com on her primary win. Tomorrow we get back to work to FIRE ROB WITTMAN in November! Congratulations to my dear friend and future Congresswoman!
Tomorrow is the last day to vote early in Virginia’s Democratic primary. I’m proud to support @shannontaylorva.com and @tomperriello.bsky.social for Congress. They’ll fight for working families and put people first. In VA-1 or VA-5? Vote early tomorrow, or on Aug. 4.
Thx to the Western Henrico Rotary Club for the opportunity to discuss my 1st legislative session, the work ahead, & how we can continue strengthening our community. Rotary’s “Service Above Self” embodies public service. Grateful for the conversation & all the club does for western Henrico.
A student struggling with their mental health shouldn’t also struggle to be understood. Proud to champion HB1113, now signed into law by Governor Abigail Spanberger, helping schools provide mental health support students can connect with across language, background, and experience.
Grateful to welcome @markwarner.bsky.social to western Henrico for a town hall with our community. These conversations matter. Virginians deserve to ask questions, share concerns, and hear directly from leaders. Thank you, Senator Warner, for your leadership and commitment to Virginia and HD-57.
Voting is already underway, make sure you cast your ballot by August 4th!
Today we celebrate the fathers and father figures who shape lives, offer support, and cheer everyone on each and every day.
Sportable RVA's River City Slam Wheelchair Tennis Tournament returns to Collegiate School’s Williams Bollettieri Tennis Center. I had the opportunity to welcome players and sponsors to the district at last night's reception. There’s tournament play today and tomorrow so check it out.
Honored to receive the Fearless Leader Award from @vaasiandemocrats.bsky.social, closing out Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. As the 1st Chinese American in the VA General Assembly, I’m proud to support building AAPI political power. Grateful for DAAV’s work lifting up the next gen.
Got my steps in this morning for a good cause! Participated in a 4-mile walk around the district for BAPS Charities’ annual Walk | Run, benefiting both BAPS Charities and the Henrico Education Foundation.
I brought my daughter, who will be a junior at VCU studying pharmaceutical sciences. They may not be as visible as doctors and nurses, but was meaningful for her to see pharmacists play a critical role in one's care from trauma.
VCU Health’s Shining Knight Gala highlighted a Richmond school principal's 5-month recovery from a bad bike accident. Seeing the full continuum of care from first responders to the many hands supporting recovery, reinforced that healing is a team effort. Thankful for these dedicated professionals.
Attended India Association of Virginia’s annual Mother’s Day picnic today! Always great company, food, and music. Happy Mother's Day! 🌺
Honoring all moms and mother figures today, your love and care make a difference in families, communities, and lives every day 💐🥳
Still glowing from last night's We Are EMILY National Gala, where @emilyslist.bsky.social recognized me & my 9 fellow freshmen for flipping seats in the VA House of Delegates in Nov. Grateful to EMILYs List for supporting our victories & for continuing to empower women to run for office.
Honoring our vast and varied histories, and celebrating the beauty and richness of our cultures.
Last Saturday in April is Independent Bookstore Day so today, @just-misty.bsky.social and I stopped by busy @bookpeoplerva.bsky.social in my district and bought a couple of books!
This year’s Henrico NAACP Freedom Brunch highlighted the intersection of faith and advocacy. Delegate Delores McQuinn spoke on advocacy as a powerful tool for awareness and unity, followed by dialogue on environmental justice, recidivism, and public policy.
So cool to receive, as a memento, the pen Governor Abigail Spanberger used to sign my first bill into law. @abigailspanberger.com
Honored to welcome the Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians as they bring their annual convention back to my district. Grateful for the opportunity to reflect on parliamentary procedure from my first legislative session and for your commitment to fair and effective governance.
Today is the last day of early voting so Governor Spanberger and I were out encouraging everyone to vote YES for democracy! Election day is Tuesday, April 21!
So impressed by the students and teachers at last night’s Henrico Education Foundation Excellence in Education Celebration, which showcased groundbreaking work happening across Henrico County Public Schools...reminding us that giving w/no expectations helps open doors and strengthen our community.
Gov Spanberger signed into law my final 3 bills that support student mental health, increase healthcare transparency, & ensure fair accountability for certain prof occupations. In my 1st leg session, I'm proud of getting 5 bills signed. Grateful to all who helped make this happen
Thrilled to welcome Leader Hakeem Jeffries back to Virginia, and this time to eastern Henrico, as we GOTV for redistricting. The rest of the country is counting on Virginia to level the playing field and stop Trump's power grab. Vote YES on or before April 21. Go to iwillvote.com for more info.
As Ramadan begins, I wish those who celebrate a peaceful and blessed month. May this time bring reflection, gratitude, and togetherness to you and your loved ones. Ramadan Mubarak!
