Stephen King - Blutige Nachrichten Was kann ich sagen, ich mag Kings Kurzgeschichten einfach. "Ratte" ist, glaube ich, mein Favorit, "Mr. Harrigans Phone" beweist mal wieder, dass sich die Kurzgeschichten einfach besser zum Verfilmen eignen und die Holly Story war auch ganz nice! 4/5 ⭐️
Roald Dahl - Charlie und die Schokoladenfabrik Ich wette, als Kind hätte ich es geliebt, aber inzwischen stört mich tatsächlich die simple Kinderbuchmoral - die Kinder können echt am wenigsten was dafür, wie verzogen sie sind! Trotzdem unterhaltsam und ich mag Dahls Whimsy! 3,75/5 ⭐️
Kienn Nguyen - Dove's Eyes Man, this was a hard read and a fever dream. I know that it was supposed to be that, and maybe it's just because my English is not good enough for this level of flowery language, but a lot of times, I was just completely lost. But the toxic gays. 3/5 ⭐️
Stephen King - Holly Irgendwo in dem Buch versteckt sich ein spannender Krimi über ein Bsthory-esques Kannibalenpärchen, aber leider ist es vergraben unter dröger Recherchearbeit, bei der jeder Gesprächspartner seinen Kommentar zu Covid und zu Trump abgeben muss. 3,5/5 ⭐️
Sarah Maria Griffin - Eat the Ones You Love Toxic lesbians and toxic plants - what a neat combo. Enjoyed the unlikeability of the main character. Very good prose. Also fun how you think the story is told in third person until the plant drops some commentary on you again. 4,25/5 ⭐️
Xiran Jay Zhao - Heavenly Tyrant Disappointed in the sequel. All of Zetian's growth was catalised through outside forces, handing her the most basic leftist and feminist teachings on a silver platter without any subtlety. Also why write the relationship between her and Qin Zheng like that? 3,5/5 ⭐️
Hab dem Kater mit nem nassen Handtuch ein Kühlzelt gemacht. Erst wusste er nicht so genau, wie er das finden soll, aber er hat sich auch seit zwei Stunden nicht mehr bewegt, so success I guess?
Stephen King - Der Outsider Ich weiß noch nicht ganz, wie ich es finden soll, dass King in den letzten Jahren so viele Krimis schreibt? Die enthalten zwar immernoch übernatürliche Aspekte und Der Outsider war eine wirklich gute Detektivgeschichte, aber ich vermisse den Horror schon etwas. 4/5 ⭐️
Sollte auch mal meine Einreichung für den Nichi Fotowettbewerb machen... Das oder das?
Uketsu - Strange Houses I wanted to read this for a while, thx @feder.bsky.social for letting me borrow it. Really cool idea of a mystery telling itself only through blueprints first and getting untangled by the author's research. The mystery was more engaging than the resolution though. 4,25/5 ⭐️

Gemma Amor - Itch! Although the theory I formed halfway through the book excited me more than the actual resolution, I enjoyed the book. Do not read, if you have a phobia of creepy-crawlies. As for me, I fancied the descriptions of having a colony of ants living inside you. 4,25/5 ⭐️

Hab heute das erste Mal Ameisenkrieg gesehen, das will ich schon seit fast 30 Jahren msl beobachten!! Eine Art konnten wir sogar schon bestimmen, wahrscheinlicheine Tetramorium-Art der Gruppe caespitum-impurum, bei der zweiten (helleren) stellt sich das als schwieriger heraus.
Ania Ahlborn - Seed Classic modern horror story about a demon haunting a family, creating a generational cycle of terror and denial. Would probably make a rather forgettable movie, but I enjoyed the read, even though I wanted to crawl into the pages and urge the MCs to talk to each other! 4/5 ⭐️
I think, these groups were my biggest achievements cosplay-wise in the last couple of years! I love group projects so much - if only it wasn't so stressfull all the time... My hope is that we'll get a full Madoka group soon and maybe manage to organise a big Funger shoot?

Carson Faust - If the Dead Belong Here A broken family of native american healers, forgotten rituals and rites, a missing daughter, old wounds that never quite healed and are now teared back open. A slow but immersing read that was kind of a paranormal systemic family constellation. 4/5 ⭐️
