My friend, who I absolutely love and adore, got me a new wallet for my birthday. And it is AI art. 💔 I love bad and/or vintage dinosaur art, and had this been made by a human artist, I would be flashing it around at every fiscal opportunity. But I don't think I can use it... Uughhhh. Ugh.

A black wallet with lots of leafy branchy bits and four horrible dinosaurs who, if they had been drawn by humans, I would adore with all my heart. Especially the bizarre triceratops/stegosaurus hybrids, of which there are two.

Not only that...

This comic has the title Plutonium 35 above it, which was what I called this comic, because I found an old hat that had P35 on it, and I never knew what it stood for, and one day I suggested Plutonium 35 to my nerd roommate who said, "That would be SO unstable." And then he said, "Like you. So, you know, keep it."

Right.

1st panel: We had Atticus Funt, a white, blonde, trans woman still mostly presenting male sitting in her room, wearing overalls, a long sleeve shirt, tennies, and a bandana tying her hair back. Sje is rubbing at one eye, and saying, "Yay yay! All moved in! -wuf-" Which is, like, an actual quote or something, from when I moved in, and my room mate yelled "DID YOU JUST SAY 'YAY YAY'?" across the hall.

Behind her is a chair and a drafting table, and to her right is a book case with a 8.5 x 11 Buffy poster. There are cardboard boxes around her that have the words "big books", "little books", and "zillaz" written on them.

Trust me, this is going somewhere.

Panel the 2nd: Almost exactly the same as panel 1, but she seems to be looking around her in contemplation.

Panel 3: Same same, but looking towards the other side of the room.

It's a timing thing,

Panel 4: The boxes have been repurposed, with windows and doors drawn on them, one of the box building's entrances has the word "Bank" over the doors. Another has "School".

These are not convincing edifices. There is a toy car on the ground, while an He-Man action figure stands atop the school. Atticus has dressed herself in a cheap dinosaur costume, and is kicking the bank as she stomps around. She has tossed a Boba Fett action figure into the air, heedless of its final destination in her throes of destructive ecstasy. The word RAAAAARRRRR!!! is written above her, with THREE exclamation marks, which we all know is the sign of a mind that would name her comic "Plutonium 35".

Rock Band. Every Iteration. This is our band:

My friends and I as our rock band avatars:

Eeriely enough, the bald white guy in a hot pink button down with a neon orange tie, grey-green slacks, checkered vans and a grey trench coat with a superman emblem on the shoulder looks almost exactly like my friend in real life.

He played base, and the picture has one slung over his shoulder. His character's name is Jaime Mecdrox.

Crouched at his feet, no shoes, blue jeans and an oversized sweater in the rans pride colors, a white woman with long blond hair and sharp straight-across bangs glares at the viewer with red eyes. She is holding an umbrella with its tip resting on the ground. This is Dani Utah, and she looks nothing like me.

I love singing, and I am only half bad at it,

Behind Dani is Syf, our drummer. She is a HUGE Hispanic woman with white hair don up with Viking braids.

She has a tight black t-shirt with Viking longboat motifs on the front in orange. She is wearing tight dark jeans with dark biker boots that reach almost to her knees. This is the only time my macho cis-het Mexican friend ever suffered female representation. It was kinda cool.

Off to the side from these three is Reg Inchmale, A man dressed mostly in black clothes seemingly tailored to his figure, He is white as well, shit, black hair and horseshoe moustache. He stands with one hand in his pocket, and the other is holding a cherry red guitar, neck pointed downward. His black t-shirt has the Rock band symbol for "guitarist: on it in whte, (A thick cirlce surrounding a guitar headstock.

This is Mecdrox and the mutants, and they stand in front of a pale picture of the earth's moon.

Underneath them is text that reads "Midgardr Tour '23"

It's not a super great drawing, but here is hopefully a good blow up of her? Also, the first pic I ever drew of her. It's not so good. Okay! Goog night!

A blonde, pale skinned android in a grey Mouse House T-Shirt, pink stiped boxers (of which you can see a little), and grey coveralls that are only halfway on. She had brown boots and is covered in grease.

She is holding a random machine part and a greasy rag. She also has glow-y blue circuits under her skin, which look like tattoos, I guess?

Her eyes have black sclera and yellow irises. It's kinda creepy.

Her name is Marva 13.

Here she is with a close up of her in the same coveralls, but with slightly longer hair, and a monkey on her back. That monkey is carrying a big wrench.

The monkey's name is "Mike Hat." I do not think the wrench has a name.

Did I ever tell you my Starfinder android was resurrected? SHE WAS! And now she has a mech? So excited to get killed while wearing a bug metal suit! YAY! Sorry for the Patlabor/Chappy-ness of it all. I cannot have an original thought.

A sheet for a Starfinder Mech stats, which, when looked at in the light of day, is REALLY badly designed.

But what can you expect from the person who named her mech "If I Stop Talking, Absalom Will Explode"?

Not much.

The mech itself is humanoid, broad shouldered with a barrel chest. The color scheme is orange and a blue-ish green with white detailing. Of course, the number 13 shows up in white, one 13 on the center of the chest one on the left shoulder armor, and one on the right leg, at the bottom of the shin.

The head has three lenses on it; a big blue one just off center of the face, a small red one next to that, and a smaller green lens between the two, a little lower. Very Votoms. Very rip-off.

There are two antennae sprouting up from the head, and swept back, a little like bunny ears.

The mech holds a big black gun in its right hand. The gun looks silly, because I am bad at guns.

A small humanoid android woman with pale skin and blonde hair stands at the left foot of the mech. She is wearing a grey flight suit, and she has a monkey on her shoulder.

The monkey's name is "Mike Hat". Hilarity ensues.

I am not including the text of the page, which includes the stats (hey! "stats" is a palindrome!) of the mech, because I don't think nyone is interested in that ephemera and this is hard to do on a phone.

BUT, for reals, if you are interested, just say so in the thread, and i will gladly type them out for you and admit I was wrong.

I bake-ed a cake, and witnessed the defeat of Princess Mama Dragon!

An entire cake.

Um.

Whipped cream and vanilla cake with vanilla pudding and a strawberry consume and sliced bananas and strawberries and mandarin oranges on top, with shaved chocolate strewn about like the vanishing years of my life.

My hand, pale in joy, holding the frigid and still-wrapped treat that IS the Nutty Buddy. Delicate, crisp wafers sandwiched betwixt thin layers of some sort of peanut butter analog, covered in a thin coating of what can be favorably compared to chocolate. Taken straight from the freezer, it is a cooling ambrosia which holds back summer's intemperate inferno, and pushes back Sol itself, causing that burning daystar to hide its cursed visage.

They're super terrible and I love them so much!

Listen. I love all of the Muppets equally, nd I don't have any favorites but it's Uncle Deadly.

Part of the box of cool stuff my friend gave me is a collection of early 80s Joes. They, like me, have bad connective tissue in their hips (EDS doesn't disqualify one from joining G.I. Joe! Good to know!). Luckily there are several videos on how to replace the rubber bands. #VintageToyTuesday

So Joes, of GI Joe fame. Two 1982 all-black Snake Eyes, Duke, Snow-Job (I think?), um...Guy Soldier, Gun Shooter, Grenade Haver, Secretly Gay, and Steve.

I may have made up a few of those names.

I had a crush on/wanted to be Scarlet, okay? She was the reason to watch GI Joe.

Maybe Lady Jay and even less maybe Jinx. And probably the Baroness.

Helped my friend a little more today, and in return, more treasure. Can you even believe the Marvel comic adaptation of Buckaroo Banzai, and Star Freaking Wars puffy stickers? I can't!

The Buckaroo Banzai comic book, with a great painting of BB himself, some of the Hong Kong Cavaliers, a few Blue Blaze Irregulars and Penny Priddy. Dr. Emilio Lizardo's (John Worfin) face hangs over the august assemblage of heros, and the Banzai Industries' 1984-model Jet Car races across the desert overhead.

Then there is a sheet of Star Wars puffy stickers with all the stickers minus one!

Boba Fett, a stormtrooper, C-3PO, R2D2, Yoda, a HUGE Darth Vader and best of all, an Imperial Probe Droid! 💚

Waiting for the call to go move boxes and I finally took the opportunity to read the copy of Cosmoknights I got for criminally cheap on Free Comic Book Day. Oh golly, what a great story so far! Fun illustrations, a great cast (lesbians! CASS!), and mech suits! And Cass! Possible trans sighting!

Inside this book are many scenes and words that are well-calculated to cause delight to many a queer reader, or fans of 80s sci-fi and manga.

Devil Girl holds a phone, which keeps booping!

Panel the two: close up on Devil Girl, who still has phone in hand. "Man," she says, "Shelbie is always turning herself into something weird." Devil Girl's phone is still booping.

3td panel: Devil Girl continues. "And then she sends me all these pictures!" We see the screen of Devil Girl's phone, and we see a picture of a young woman who has turned herself into one of the horse people of Greek myth. There is a text above the pic which reads "Hot or not?"

Final panel: we back out to see Devil Girl still leaning against the chest of Moon Dinosaur.

Devil Girl looks up at Moon Dinosaur, declaring of Shelbie, "She's so self-centaured."

I went to pick up my friend, who was cleaning out his folks' apartment after his father passed. He had a box for me, and when I tell you it was just silly full with nostalgia... #VintageToyTuesday, please allow me to show you the #StarWars portion of the treasure. I am a little weepy.

Ancient and occult bits of plastic from the original run of Star Wars figures, many of which I would have traded away my lunch for in a heartbeat as a kid.

Friends, we have a Han Solo who has had a tough time of it, a snowtrooper, Lobot, a stormtrooper, 2 copies of droids that look like C-3PO, but during COVID, Princess Leia, 2 Jawas (minus their cute material robes), White guy with a moustache (maybe bespin security guy?), an AT/AT pilot, C-3PO, the medical droid (who I wanted SO bad!), Walrus Man, 2 Boba Fetts, Hammerhead!, a snow speeder pilot who may be Luke? I am so bad at this, 2 Snaggletooths (TEETH), and Captain bandages the bounty hunter (Dengar?)

Anyway. I love them. They are all my boyfriends, except Leia, who is my cool older sister, warning me about dating twins

It kinda looks like and old school space station or star base? A big grey mushroom cap kind guy, with antennae on top?

Then a cylindrical body that narrows the farther it extends from the mushroom cap, with four spindles extending out symmetrically from near the bottom of the body, each with a round, flat platform at the end of the extending arm?

Figure the robuts could come and leave from those platforms?

I dunno.

I do not know how to take pictures. It's not like this Cat's Eye/Grendizer experiment looks all that great, but I does look a little better than the shots I took. Or maybe I am just *that* desperate to refute reality? I like the general silhouette of the thing, minus the radar shield thingy, tho.

It makes it kinda look like a dinner ship, because it's served on a dish? I think I will try to see if I can make them look a little more like the Cat's Eye Recon ships from Macross, instead of trying to replicate Grendizer's neatness.

From Macross, it is a recon ship which has a huge disk on top of it.

It looks so much cooler than anything I have made.

I had an idea for a 4th fleet, but I don't know if it is working? I wanted to do kinda flying saucer type ships, sorta? I think the first one looks okay from underneath a little, and from the side, but it isn't really working from the top, which is where players will be looking, mostly. Thoughts?

The top of the ship which is just a grey circle. With some bits sticking out.

I haven't thought this through very well.

Side view is a little more interesting, as you can see the guns and the tanks and the bombs and the... Sorry. Kinda slipped into the Cranberries a little there.

Just guns. And the other fiddly bits.

With this shot it looks more like what I was hoping for?

You can see the spaceship part of the spaceship, with its bridge and wing-y bits and all, but it's not the view the players will be seeing very often.

Most impractical, is that it's not readily apparent what systems you have assigned the ship, so knowing what your dice pool is going to be is a bit of a hassle.

My mighty heart is breaking.

Home now, putting away laundry. Took a picture of the mysterious 5th ship. It is a lot like the builds I made for the yellow fleet. I am a slave to my particular brand of profoundly 1980's aesthetics.

As my work brothers would say, "gracious me, Ms. Sammie, but yon battlewagon does seem to have a gratuitous amount of dakka. Oh my days, but it does seem a trifle egregious, when it comes to armament!"

Only, probably, with a very cockney accent? I don't know!

Any way, it looks very battle-shipy with many long guns and cannons and nine irons and shooty bits.

It is also grey and orange, with most of the orange bits just being greeble, all hail LucasArts.

Mobile Frame Zero: Intercept Orbit. Sorry I am bad at using my phone but glyphpress.com has a copy of the rule book. It's a pretty light strategy game with some fun ways to modify and customize your forces. It's a nice reason to play with LEGO and role dice with your friends.
