Probably on my bike.
At a small bar and grill with my kids up north, and all the cheesy decor about the place like an Elvis statue, and random gas station signs in no way prepared me for the men’s bathroom.
Even Google Maps captured someone with their groceries on the ground, standing at the stop a ways up the street. How is this the status quo??
This stop used to have a bench, but it got moved midblock and they added the concrete pad for accessibility - but no bench.
Seems weird that there’s no place to sit or even put your bags down if you’re riding the 7 from the grocery store! Anyways, there is now.
What I am gonna make it through this month! Kinda went down the Carl rabbit hole in July. 32 out of my goal of 50 for the year.
Biked over and dropped off another bench tonight! Waiting for the bus should be comfortable for everyone.
The only thing I ask is that there either be enough space on the boarding area for a bench and accessibility, or if placed in the grass, that you know or are the property owner so it doesn’t get tossed immediately.
Hey so a few people who had wanted bus benches weren’t able to get them, so I have a handful left. If you want a bench - please let me know and I can drop it off. If it’s easiest, just tell me the bus stop number and I’ll bring one by!
Is there a reason to not just add bollards to any bike lanes wide enough for a buffer like this?
I have never gotten a warning like this from the DNR before. Not even sure if it’s worth making the trip due to AQI.
My apparently controversial take is that aggressive or distracted drivers crashing into concrete rather than people on bikes is good, actually.

It is my Yuba’s 2nd birthday this week! What a great bike it’s been, I can’t wait for the next 2 years with it.
