Writer of satire (Private Eye/Dead Ringers) and Murder. New book ‘Lies and Dolls’ is out now in all good bookshops. 'The Fan Who Knew Too Much' is also there, probably nearby. Graphic novel ‘The Furnace’ out eventually.
I found Three Act Tragedy in an Oxfam shop and its stark bonkers cover haunts me to this day.
Tried to convince Nicola this was coming out today. It took her eight seconds to see through my subterfuge.
With all the money swilling around the Bond franchise it’s amazing that Largo’s beachfront property from ‘Thunderball’ has been standing derelict for decades. It could easily be a museum or a holiday villa for rich Bond fans.
It seems to be a standard cover that they use all the time. I was in this one:

Dead Ringers is in Brighton on the first night of our tour. Squeezing it in before Donald Trump cancels us. Good luck everyone!
“Dogs can say sausages with impunity, but hand out bat soup to the public and the police come running.”
A teeny reminder: if you want signed copies of my book, then they’ll be available in branches of Forbidden Planet.
So buy it as a birthday present to me! Sales do matter. They make the difference between this being the last book in the series or just the second of many. Order it from your local bookshop if you can. It encourages them to stock it. This ends this public service announcement…
So it’s my birthday… …And also, by complete co-incidence, the release date of my new book ‘Lies and Dolls’! Kit Pelham faces her most dangerous foe yet: a cold-blooded serial killer who murders collectible action figures, stealing them and sending their dismembered remains back to their owners.
August is going to be a busy month for yours truly! LIES AND DOLLS is out on the 12th - ON MY BIRTHDAY. Secondly, my new Big Finish is coming out - RED FOR DANGER. And finally the DEAD RINGERS ANNIVERSARY TOUR, is launching, packed with lots of my sketches that were written back when I was funny.
A reading of Anthony Read’s incomplete novelisation of ‘Horns of Nimon’. #targetbookday
