(1/4) ICYMI, we recently published our Annual Registration Data Report, which shows that 293,778 out of the 867,935 professionals on the NMC Register are Black, Asian and ethnic minority professionals. That’s over a third of the Register for the first time.
We welcome the Government’s call for evidence on the professions and roles which will in future be allowed to describe themselves as 'nurses'. We have long called for the title of ‘nurse’ to be protected in law. This will be achieved through long-awaited changes to modernise our legislation.
