Tonight I made a comfy seafood chowder. One pot meal using up some leftover frozen shrimp, saved salmon tail portion, and such. Tasty casual dinner. #ChefRat

I made a sewing desk organizer! This took 75min and used only a ruler, knife, tape, and Amazon box which would’ve been recycled. I’m leaning into the cardboard aesthetic in workshop storage but you could also paint or cover it with drawer liner paper for a clean look. #FursuitMaker #WorkshopTips
Fursuit (& general) crafting tip: Keep a “discard” box during a project. Toss in all your first draft pieces, patterns you don’t plan to keep, scraps, etc. Nothing you *intend* to use but it’s there for reference if you need to check back! Empty the box when project is fully done. :) #FursuitMaker
The store had fresh cherries on sale so we (me and my daughter) made a cake! Boxed mix and some canned whipped cream but with fresh fruit it was delightful.

I baked babka! This is a family favorite. One loaf is chocolate swirl and the other is cinnamon (with a touch of nutmeg and allspice). And if you’re wondering whether this recipe contains lamb, no, you’re confusing this with baa-bka. ;) #ChefRat

Good progress on monster paws today. One paw seen, other has halves ready to put together. After that step, both need fur sleeves, linings installed, and cuffs. Thx to folks who hung out and chatted in stream :) #FursuitMaker

For dinner, fresh baked bread, shrimp and avocado salads, and a baked Brie with fruits. I added a pinch of caraway and cumin seeds to the loaf for extra aroma — worked well with the Brie, I thought. #ChefRat
