Former Hamiltonian now living in Tāmaki Makaurau. Views are my own and don’t represent any company or client. Yeah, I probably am that guy you saw on Tik Tok.
6 months - that’s how many businesses have been liquidated. Up on 1296 for the same period last year. But don’t worry, this is the party of “grow up businesses”
Oh and because of reasons, here is Andy Foster justifying claiming an accommodation allowance on his Wairarapa property which he claimed as his primary residence because he was going to run there in this election.
Seriously, what the hell is going on with Nationals idiotic campaign this year. AI slip, outright bullshit and now whatever this is - “you don’t deserve” - gawwwd damn these people are the worst.
Can’t decide if my favourite thing today is the TPU deleting this post and the results because they lost their own poll or seeing the right wing councillors around the country bitching about amalgamation plans that no one wants to play with them over from the government THEY told people to vote for.
Dumb comment of the day - someone who didn’t like the fact checks checking facts AND felt the overwhelming need to put in a cooker dog whistle so everyone knows they’re a very special NZFirst voter.
Dumb comment of the day - it’s now “undemocratic” to list the things the government has done in an election year to help people decide who to vote for.
Another slip at Mauao this week - thankfully not tragic like the one in February - in part because the walking tracks hadn’t yet been reopened while TCC continued engineering checks. And here’s local MP Sam Uffindell demanding the walkway reopen last week because people want to walk it now 🙄
🤦🏼♂️ a local Act candidates latest video includes claims that a “dry year” means no sun or wind, and solar and wind power will not work so Greens idea is clearly silly. I’m so tired of people voting idiots like this into power.
Does anyone have the list of people in this photo. I see a lot that were on my 2025 local election red flag lists. So at least the research won’t be as strenuous this time - not that media will do shit all about it
Looks fascinating but is this idiot for real? Does he think talking about going into bat is a good look considering his past?
Looking for an appropriate way to honour Sam Neill? He hated NZ First opening up the country to mine it. Vote them out in November in his honour!
We really do live in an amazingly beautiful place. Pity about the people in charge who want to sell it off and rip it to shreds.
And won’t SOMEONE THINK OF THOSE POOR BUSINESSES SUFFERING FOR YOUR MATARIKI HOLIDAY! Weird how I’ve never seen David say this over Easter or Kings Birthday weekend 🤷♂️
The fact the PM uploaded this 😂 - did his 7 social media staff not check before they allowed that to go out to the country 🤣
Where is this Mt Manganui NZ First are running this Voices for Freedom member Bay of Plenty Councillor who was at the Wellington parliament occupation?
Definitely got the steps in today - joined the march down Queen St (number 5 or 6 I think and this government was elected) in support of the trans whānau being targeted by the culture war bs from Winnie. And the Retro collectibles Fair in Manukau. Can not feel my ankles now though 🫣
Looks like I’m already upsetting the more extreme candidates by *checks notes* saying what they did or said. How about we voters send the more extreme of these candidates a clear message that they are not welcome in our Parliament or communities.
Finally some good news - this MP is not coming back to Parliament. Seymour announced his retirement today. I’d love to see Seymour follow suit as well.
Nothing could possibly go wrong by letting an inhumane government get rid of human decision making, right? Right?!?
This is the outcome of past Coalition budgets and decisions. Don’t expect much different this year - it’s not who these people are. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...
Last time I visited Sky City I accidentally walked through an Act Party conference full of super creepy men happy to poke my grandson and say creepy things like “glad we got you before you turned woke” this time there’s a Xenomorph and I feel safer and way less creeped out
But Richard, it gets slightly dumber! These latest changes happened because the Act party had a complaint they weren’t racisming fast enough - and in their “look, we racismed” post, they still screwed up basic English in the first line and omitted the word ‘for’
I’m keeping a file simply called “I f-cking told you so” of all the stories like this I see that involve candidates I tried to warn voters about last year. I’m hoping that it can be used to get turnout up for the next local election, or to warn people about some candidates running this year.
I’d heard NZ First was in town, didn’t expect to run into one of their voters in the wild though. This one voted for Winston back in the 70s and still believes that somehow Winston is the one MP who can fix everything he voted for over 5 decades (which includes young people these days and woke).
I hate when people who got free uni education or never had to worry about a dime, do everything they can to burn the bridges behind them because landlords and tobacco companies needed their tax cuts.
Dear politicians - can we please, PLEASE, get back proper media studies education soon? People not understanding or recognising media bias is so frustrating 🤦🏼♂️
Something something doing the basics brilliantly. Something something back on track.
