Reporters got no response from Seth Moulton's campaign when they asked how he felt about privatizing veterans' healthcare.

Sadly, Moulton seems unconcerned about the increasing influence of private equity and other corporate health care companies on the care of veterans outsourced to the private sector through the MISSION Act.

To better understand what Moulton’s proposal for a supposedly more workable “public option” for veterans might look like—and how it might differ from the VA’s existing nationwide public health care system—the Prospect contacted Moulton’s campaign, by email and phone. We also sought further information about his own personal experience as a VA patient, which in a Boston Globe interview more than a decade ago, he claimed was bad. No one, including his press secretary, ever responded.

I'm not a Markey fan by any stretch of the imagination - voted & volunteered for Kennedy in 2020 - but I'm voting for him this time because Moulton is everything we shouldn't want in a Senator. It's been documented that he changes positions based on campaign needs (no backbone) and he profits in the market on companies regulated by the committees he sits on. So l'm voting old guy with right positions than young opportunistic guy.

The Massachusetts Democratic primary is a test of character, not political convenience. In my opinion, Representative Seth Moulton has shown that his support for the transgender community depends on the political climate rather than on principle. When standing up for transgender Americans becomes difficult, that's when true allies are revealed.

Senator Ed Markey has consistently stood with the LGBTQ+ community and defended transgender rights, even when doing so drew political criticism. That is what leadership looks like.

If transgender rights matter to you, this primary cannot be treated as just another election. It is a choice between consistency and political calculation. In my opinion, defeating Moulton in the primary would send a clear message that the transgender community and its allies expect unwavering support—not campaign-season promises or shifting positions when the political winds change. The community deserves leaders who fight for their rights every day, not only when it's politically safe.

I worked for Ed Markey in 2021 when he first introduced his bill to expand the Supreme Court. The Senator and his office took a lot of heat from moderates for sticking his neck out on the issue, but he was correct then and he is correct now.
