Shows just rolled out for all YPP creators. They give creators’ episodic videos - think series and seasons - a premium, prestige treatment in the YouTube interface
What makes for a good use of shows? Videos with clear story arcs or narratives that span multiple episodes with consistent topics or segments, characters or hosts, that are easy to follow and understand .

Consistent thumbnails, titles, and descriptions, high quality visuals and sound, branding and graphical elements, mood, atmosphere, and pacing across episodes
So viewers know what to expect when they return to the show, hopefully again and again
If you’re in the YouTube Partner Program, you can now make a Show, including a Show with multiple seasons, by converting an existing playlist, or making a new Show from scratch (same way you make a regular or podcast playlist)
When you make a Show, it gets a Show Page playlist under your channel, and that Show page is eligible for inclus

Create a Show in Creator Studio on desktop. Convert an existing Playlist or create a new Playlist.
Add a title, description and poster art.

Note: Starting in August 2026, Creator Music will be phasing out paid licenses to better align with the preferences of our creator and music partner community. Creator Music will transition to focus exclusively on offering tracks available at no-cost and tracks available for revenue-sharing, as set by the track’s rights holder.

You’ll have until August 10, 2026 to continue to purchase and use paid licenses in your videos. Existing paid licenses already applied to your videos will remain valid until their expiration. Any purchased licenses not used by August 10, 2026 will be automatically refunded to you.

Your own comments aren't included in the search results.

Search comments by topic or meaning
Note: This feature is only available on YouTube Studio on your computer.
To help you quickly find comments to moderate or engage with, use the Search tool from the filter options at the top. This tool uses AI to understand the meaning and intent behind comments, going beyond matching search keywords.

Search by topic: Type a query up to 100 characters to find comments broadly related to a subject or theme, such as “questions about my equipment" or "compliments about video editing.”
Use a suggested topic: Select suggestions to find comments related to common themes, such as "Excitement and Enthusiasm" or "negative feedback.”
Find similar comments: Click the three-dot menu on any published comment and select Find similar comments to find other comments with a similar topic or meaning.
Note: This search tool is for finding comments. You must still use existing moderation options to remove, report, hide comments or users, or to engage with users.

We're excited to announce that on May 21, 2026, we're bringing collapsible anchor ads to desktop. Previously available only on mobile, this format will now help you capture more revenue on larger screens by improving the way users interact with anchor ads. Alongside this launch, we're also revamping the anchor ads controls to simplify how you manage these formats. The existing "collapsible anchor ads" setting will be renamed "dynamic anchor ads".

How dynamic anchor ads work on mobile. They will now work the same way on desktop and wider (at least 1000px) screens.

What about "AEO" and "GEO"? "AEO" stands for "answer engine optimization" and "GEO" for "generative engine optimization". These are both terms you may see used to describe work specifically focused on improving visibility in AI search experiences. From Google Search's perspective, optimizing for generative AI search is optimizing for the search experience, and thus still SEO.

This highly requested feature allows you to migrate your photos, videos, and albums you own from your school or university-issued Google Account to a personal Google Account. With this, your memories and personal history stays with you after you leave a school or university.

Tip: Transfers aren’t available to supervised personal accounts.

Introducing a new spam policy for "back button hijacking"

Today, we are expanding our spam policies to address a deceptive practice known as "back button hijacking", which will become an explicit violation of the "malicious practices" of spam policies, leading to potential spam actions.

What is back button hijacking?
When a user clicks the "back" button in the browser, they have a clear expectation: they want to return to the previous page. Back button hijacking breaks this fundamental expectation. It occurs when a site interferes with a user's browser navigation and prevents them from using their back button to immediately get back to the page they came from. Instead, users might be sent to pages they never visited before, be presented with unsolicited recommendations or ads, or are otherwise just prevented from normally browsing the web.
