Did it out of curiosity and I got a few lines? But I might be too soft of a boy to really qualify.
When they looked like this, I didn't care much for them (and neither did I for goblins). Now that they're a little more anthropomorphised and nicer, I like them! They're like, goblin with a particular dragon fixation. They're alright and plenty of people like them just like so!
Out of these four, I like the third the best: it's the most classical look for a gobbo to me. The Pathfinder gobbos are full of personality, but the DnD 3rd is the opposite of that. One that I also like are "human-ish" gobbos, more modern, slightly less hideous, but still very recognizable?
Got a new pair of glasses. Finally. I've been wearing the ones on the left for TWELVE YEARS. I had a pair in between but the lenses were wrong for me so I almost never wore them. Gotta get used to this new field of view of mine, now, imperfections and all... 🤓
I think this room needs a Snorlax plush somewhere. Of which size, I don't know...
Finished collecting and reading Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon) in manga form. Man, what a GREAT manga. Immediately up there with my favorite mangas of all time. From start to finish, no matter how many times it slides into different genres over time, it stays consistently amazing. Amazing.
Still haven't got that goblin ref... I'd say my fav character is Red XIII. He's very huggable, but serious, but also silly.
Finished these three GQ Gunpla. Sounds silly as far as "closure" goes but I said that I wouldn't be doing any other Gunpla until I finished these, so doing them first thing in the year opened more options! The backlog of Gunpla is still huge but I can almost see the end. Progress is ongoing...
MS-06-SSP Police Zaku, Gundam Gquuuuuux (High Grade) 10/10 design for this revisit of the Zaku, and the fact that it's a military police model with a baton gives it a unique style. Unfortunately, it's the most stiff of the GQ models, and the stickers are so bad I shouldn't have bothered at all...
RGM-79 Light-type Guncannon, Gundam Gquuuuuux (High Grade) Another redesign from GQ, and it's a real cool version of the Guncannon. I only rank it below the Gelgoog because there was a lot of stickers and fiddly parts during building. Otherwise, solid kit all around.
gMS-01 Sugai's Gelgoog, Gundam Gquuuuuux (High Grade) Best model of 2025 for me, hands down! It's both a GM and a Gelgoog, AMAZING design, two guns (I love that), and absolutely zero stickers. It's a new favorite for me. Posability could be better but if I didn't listen to myself, I'd buy 3 more!
Reginleif Kurena use, 86 (High Grade) A non-Gundam Gunpla! This is basically a robot spider with a giant cannon or missile pods. It's huge compared to the other 86 kit I have, weirdly posable, it has pilebunkers in its legs and two sets of weapons. Unfortunately, plenty of stickers everywhere!
AMX-004 Qubeley revive, Gundam Zeta (High Grade) What a weird machine, what a strange design. It looks more like an alien than a giant robot! It's pretty interest to have for my collection of monsters, but unfortunately the build is very loose and slippery, and it barely stands on its own. Too bad!
MBF-02 Strike Rouge, Gundam Seed (Early Grade) Early Grades are made for newcomers, easy and quick to build. I did it in one evening. I always liked the Strike Rouge better than the regular Strike. Now I have the two of them, and its equipment is a good contrast to knife-only blue Strike!
RX-78-6 Gundam G06 Mudrock, Gundam Zeonic Front (High Grade) A wonderful P-Bandai model that mixes traits of the Gundam and Guncannon. Very "old school" in its build, plenty of polycaps, but I still feel like the design is imposing and cool. A good recruit for my heavy weapons crew!
Wearing the Mask from The Mask (1994) doesn't turn you into a cartoon character: it reveals your deepest desires. For Stanley, a cartoon-obsessed nobody, it was to act on his fantasies without consequences. That's also why the bad guy looked different and wasn't cartoonish at all when he wore it.
Finished a video game: Powerwash Simulator 2 OK, it was only out for a few months and I played day one, but I'm glad I can start the year with something done already. Love it to bits, most relaxing game I know to play while listening to a podcast. Will return for DLCs!
