Someone liked this sketch I posted a while back... and you know what, it actually isn't that bad lol 😆 Here is a recent "bad" doodle for the timeline. Just draw, no matter what your "skill level" is. It's good to make art and have fun.
I blocked this shithead and I will block you too if you try to come into my mentions with insane bullshit like this. I'm not here to mince words with people spreading AI propaganda. Eat shit.
Gods Own Country was something. Trying to just watch a bunch of gay movies this month.
I literally cannot tell you how many times my friends and I would talk about wanting to make a DH pride anthology and I'm overjoyed to have one in my hands today. Cheers to @greglockard.bsky.social @jamesthefourth.bsky.social and everyone who made this book happen. Go pick it up now! 🌈
I fricken love Portland buildings with like normal cutesy store fronts and stuff like this on the back.
This may make me sound old as dust or too young depending on your perspective, but whatever: we are all so damn lucky that Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong recorded music together so frequently, like how insanely fantastic is that power combo? What a generous gift.
Rewatching the Mummy with my roommates and cackling again over this beautiful character. More books/movies need characters that feel absolutely legendary just pop in and out of the plot like a firework. How fun.
I normally don't do this kinda thing but I'm gonna throw one out there just because it feels like an ongoing for him would actually be interesting especially in this moment in history: Rage
Was half asleep when I wrote this, don't crucify me haha. I had scrolled by an image of them and was like, "oh that was one of the first I read with a certain vibe and kinda fearlessly carefree kinkiness to it." Like... Booga feels different from a lot of the older characters we've discussed.
Social media has been uh, relatively bad for mental health lately, and I wanna try and be better with it, so here, have some flowers from my garden for the timeline. Feel free to share some of your own, or maybe a nice thing from your week and etc. Hope you are hanging in.
I came downstairs this morn to find my roommate in the kitchen possibly late for work and I said, "Well, well, well, what have we here?" To which they said, "great now I have that song from Nightmare Before Christmas stuck in my head!" So this is me, nonbinary Oogie Boogie. I'd die but I can't.
Please feel free to comment or quote with your bad art and go out into the world and make some bad art today. Do it for the kids who are afraid to share things. Let's remind everyone it is okay to just do a little sketch, or write out a story. You don't need AI to do it for you. We wanna see you!
Just make bad art, and don't let people tell you that you can't or shouldn't and if your college writing professor says that it is classist and ableist to hate on generative AI... Maybe switch classes and ask for a refund because that person ain't gonna make you a better writer either. 😘
Just make bad art. It's okay buddy. Come join me, just draw something. Two pens, one paper, very low cost. Took me almost no time and it was relaxing!
Just make bad art and share it so that these losers can stop justifying burning down the rainforest and polluting the clean water to keep their GenAi genocide bot running. Here is a bunny-knight. Drew it in like 25 minutes while watching anime and playing magic...
Just make art. It's one of the greatest joys in life. I'm an editor and writer mainly, only ever took one art class, slowly improving. But I'm happy to make bad art. I'm pretty broke lol. I will not tolerate this bullshit stance that being anti-GenAi is classist and ableist or "gatekeeping" art.
Found @michaelwconrad.bsky.social and @davechisholmcomics.com awesome Plauge House out in the wild today and am so glad I got my hands on the last copy before they sold out. Gleefully devoured the haunting story in one sitting and think you will too. Get out there and get your copy quick!
I love a good Christmas tree fire. There is something special about storytelling around a fire. Just hits different.
But I think this list is definitely starting to narrow down into serious heavy hitters (talent-wise) that I feel like are really stunning with none other than Mavis Staples and Ella Fitzgerald at 46 and 47. (Personally I can see lots of arguments to rank both higher)
Alright all you strange creatures, happy holidays and New year to you. 2025 was a rollercoaster of bullshit with a few good things, and I'm hoping 2026 will be different and better. I'm gonna try to unplug from the internet for most of what's left of 2025. Be kind to yourself you little freaks.
Just caught up on this news and pretty dang excited to see all of these things rolling out from @jamesthefourth.bsky.social and his kickass collaborators. This bit here especially caught my eye.
Meet Orion, my parents indoor/outdoor cat. Spent 8/9 of his lives getting ran over by a minivan when he was two, I think he is about 8 now? And runs the whole property. I prefer to call him "ol one eye" and am pretty sure he is the last manifesting of Odin on this planet.
A little less that 30% left. Help this indie team get a few more thousand to make this witchy nightmare come true. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/w...
Haha I swear I looked it up and did see those dogs but also I just didn't know which name to go with tonight haha. I had never actually seen the Gryphes one.
Update: Mantella's Twitter is public and stuffed with some pretty gross right-wing nonsense. So case closed. I wouldn't trust a single word from them after this, especially when you see what their EiC posted on Instagram(screenshot below) I don't believe you, Matias. In or out of vampire context.
Sure! Here is one more for now, but if you ever wanna chat about mtg or card design etc. please feel free to DM I love discussing such stuff. Here is a great example of one of my favorite weird mechanics/creature designs: modular. The arcbound creatures are awesome in general and the art rocked!
