#86 Got to finally introduce my son to the works of Kevin Smith. Figured this was a better place to start than Clerks just bc it's slower and black and white. Now I'll take him through the entire Askewniverse.
#85 Why does this work so well? The trailer looked kinda cute but seemed like a dumb premise that single people can only have sex one night a year, but they addressed it well and used it for great effect. They're both cute and the right level of adorkable. It's well shot and very funny.
#82 Makes me so sad that nothing of Edgar Wright made it into Running Man. When he's on, he's so on.
I'm taking points off for movies that make most of the background unwatchable blurry. I'm so tired of it.
#79 I don't get all the hype for this movie. Inde Navarrette is great in her role, but the film is a pretty standard story that we've seen a bunch of times. None of the people in this movie react to the weird shit in a way that human people would react.
#78 Why bother with all the effort to shoot in IMAX if you're just going to make the entire screen, except for one actor's face, so blurry it's unwatchable? There are pretty shots and some cool scenes, but most of this could have been filmed in a closet with a cell phone and looked better.
#77 I gave up about half way through. It's moving too slowly and I'm not enthralled by the whimsy like it wants me to be. It's like if Wes Anderson made Leon the Professional.
My upgrade was to a P1S with an AMS so I can do multi-color. My son is moving to a new place and wants Dungeon Crawler Carl decorations, so I'm making them this week.
It's arriving today. The final chapter of the graphic novel adaptation of The Adventure Zone: Balance arc. They made one of the most incredible endings of a D&D campaign I've ever heard.
#71 Some of us olds kept making references to this movie that most of the youngs in my RPG group haven't seen, so we had a movie night to catch them up. Still a great ride.
#70 Still fun and cheesy. Wish it was better overall, but she was a good Supergirl for that time.
They don't really get along but they are very cute right now.
#69 This was kinda cool but very inconsistent. Not sure if the bad guys wanted to capture them or kill them at any given moment and I have no idea what the overall agenda was for activating their powers. Could have been a decent tv series if it wasn't killed off.
#68 I liked it okay, but it would be better if they left Lobo out of this story and let him have his own story. If you like this movie at all, and you should, then do yourself a favor and read Woman of Tomorrow. It's a great comic.
