I'm debating opening up ARCs for my collection, DEATH IN ITS MANY FORMS (they wouldn't be the final edited, pro formatted version), but I'm also considering just going feral with the release, not doing ARCs or preorders, and just kicking it out into the world with no warning. Finished THE TWELFTH OF NEVER by Oje Kendi. A solid, interesting take on a repeating day. I wish the explanation had been woven more cohesively throughout the book instead of info dumped at the end, but overall an enjoyable weekend read.

While I immensely enjoyed the first half, the latter was a mixed bag. The writing was beautiful and I loved the premise, but unfortunately it didn’t quite land for me in a way that felt satisfying.

I'm about halfway through THE HAUNTING OF VELKWOOD by Gwendolyn Kiste and really digging it! A unique take on hauntings with an underlying mystery that's unraveling slowly, all centered around flawed, human characters. Can't wait to see where it goes!

I had a wonderful long weekend basking in all the horror of StokerCon. Attended wonderful panels, grabbed some great books, and got to hang out with some of my favorite people. Very happy to be home with The Mister and our pets. ...but it's never too early to start thinking about next year 👀

Flamingo: This was an evil flamingo. It had a heart full of a hate and kept trying to eat me through the plexiglass. No need to wonder why all the other flamingos were across the enclosure. 15/10, my chances of being killed by a flamingo are low, but never zero.
