I painted this in Clip Studio Paint in 2020, when the skies were filled with smoke in the PNW.
It might be this one. I had one of those 1960s Childcraft books that featured art from around the world and for some reason, this kind of haunted my headspace for decades. There's nothing entirely haunting or offputting about it, but it just stayed with me for decades.
Last month was mostly filled with me trying to get as many OC refs in, so not a lot went on. I'll instead post an older piece I don't think anyone's seen on this artshare thing before. I hope to get some better stuff done inbetween artfight this month.

#junepalette26 This month really took it out of me, both creatively and physically. Originally was going to draw like three of the Elementals in my story, but I couldn't figure out the design of one of them and just drew Nari the firekit.
I'm Ash and I'm part of Team Mystery!!! This will be my 2nd year of ArtFight and I've added more and better character refs this year than I had last year. Since a lot of people liked Kurbis, I'm hoping people will draw Meowdyn. I'm also hoping for Maya since no one drew her last year.
It might be me, but something about the fact that they chose a word like "scrying", a term used a lot in fantasy as well as in supernatural literature is making me feel like this is Satanic Panic coded. Like out of all words, it's one related to the arts of divination.
