Community partnerships like @Clamptreyes’ work in West Marin are what it’s going to take to solve housing shortages.

For the final day of this series, I'm reminded of something bigger than any one administration. From the very beginning, we've been called to build "a more perfect Union." That's work worth doing because this country, and the ideals at its core, are worth defending.

As we count down to Independence Day, I'm asking people across CA-02 what they love most about America.

Trump’s sham religious commission just released their report, and it’s what we all feared. They want to tear down the wall between church and state and inject extreme beliefs into the government. That's not religious freedom. It's an abuse of power that threatens the rights of every American.

Earlier this month, I demanded NOAA start moving the fisheries disaster relief we’ve been fighting for the last three years – and they’ve finally allocated it! I won’t let up the pressure until this money gets in the hands of our fishermen who’ve been desperately waiting.

Yesterday, @carbajal.house.gov and I reintroduced a bill to protect blue whales and reduce harmful coastal air pollution. This is a win-win for public health and the environment, helping make California's coastline cleaner, safer, and healthier for both marine life and coastal communities.

As Capitol Hill Ocean Week wraps up, I’m heading back to my district and its spectacular coastlines with deep appreciation. What happens in our oceans matters deeply to the communities I represent, from our fishermen and businesses to our wildlife and coastal ecosystems.

I'm working to lower childcare costs, expand pre-K, and support working families. On the Flip Side, House Republicans are playing political games and manufacturing another excuse to punish states they don’t agree with.  Childcare is a necessity–not a luxury. I’ll keep fighting for real solutions.

Yesterday, I joined Vivalon for a Meals on Wheels delivery in San Rafael, where I got to meet with Marin seniors who rely on this program and see firsthand how important it is.

TODAY: Trump’s conservative Supreme Court dealt a massive blow to voting rights that could pave the way for Republicans to discriminate against minority voters. Every American deserves the right to vote and have their voice heard.

We’re still in the middle of Trump’s pointless war in Iran. Prices are soaring, people are dying, and Republicans are doing nothing to rein in their wannabe dictator. I just introduced another War Powers Resolution because I will not give up until this conflict ends and Trump is held accountable.

From housing to health care to groceries, the cost of living is way too high in America right now. I was glad to join @mikethompson.house.gov to chat with people in our communities about our efforts in Congress to lower costs, expand tax credits, and help hardworking families in California.

Republicans are wasting our time rebranding their One Big, Ugly Bill, which stripped health care from millions to give tax breaks to billionaires. No matter what name they slap on it, they can’t fool Americans. Republicans betrayed working families, and you deserve better.

The Trump administration is gutting the U.S. Forest Service. Closing research stations and offices and relocating families to Utah with no plan. And they're doing it heading into fire season after Trump's DOGE already fired workers. You can count on me to fight this in D.C.

I toured the San Anselmo/Fairfax Children's Center and heard about all the big improvements on the way. I was able to get $800,000 in federal funding to help them modernize their facilities and support kids in our community, and it was good to see how that money will be put to good use!

Life is more expensive than ever under Trump, and addressing the rising cost of housing is one of my top priorities. My bill to help turn old Coast Guard housing facilities into more affordable housing just became law. I’m glad I got to tour them this week for an update on this great project!

For Farmworkers Day, I toured a housing project in West Marin backed by $2 million in community project funding I secured. I'm proud of the work we're doing here in our rural communities to ensure that our farmworkers have affordable places to live.

Make It Home’s new furniture warehouse is going to help a lot of low-income families and underserved youth throughout our community. It was great to attend the grand opening and tour the space, and I'm glad I could get some federal funding to help finish this project.

Our communities in the North Coast are enduring wildfires year-round, and we need a bigger, fully trained firefighting workforce to combat this growing crisis. This week, we celebrated $20 million in new funds for Mendocino College to invest in fire technology, training, and more.

Trump's health care cuts are skyrocketing insurance premiums, stripping health coverage from millions, and closing rural hospitals. I was glad to host a town hall this week and hear from people in our community. We won’t stop fighting to ensure every American has access to affordable healthcare.

I’m against this war, and I’m for holding this president accountable.
