The raccoon was so much fun I think I’ll paint a corgi Dog Star next! The little stars are 24 karat gold leaf and of course I’ll be painting in oils. ✨

Progress on my raccoon star painting. At this stage I’m still defining texture, shading, and what I refer to as “reflective shading”. It’s where I glaze colors like purples or greens over areas because I want those colors to be present in those shadows. I’m still only 1/2 way done at this stage.

We went on a short trip to Niagara Falls and it was lovely! We even got to see one of my favorite Canadian rock bands from the 90s! 🌈

Thank you all for making Anthrocon 2026 so special! Some highlights: meeting new friends and old, autographing lots of cards, and even asked to be in a couple of selfies with fans. Anthrocon is full of the kindest people! I hope to see all of you again next year!
How awesome is this? Today, July 1st 2026, has officially been designated as "Anthrocon Day" by the Mayor of Pittsburgh! This new piece will be making a debut on Friday at Anthrocon. It is The Basilisk Hunters, 11”x14” oil and 24 karat gold leaf on panel.

My painting of Zabu is up for auction and off to a great start! Auction runs from today until Sunday night. I had a lot of fun painting this 11”x14” oil and 24 karat gold painting for Magic the Gathering x Marvel. There’s so much gold in this piece it really shines!

Playing around with some watercolors a friend got me. I decided to sketch my ferrets and this pic of Yenny wearing a tiny fez is just too funny to not draw!
Yenny had a pretty good vet visit today for a 6 year old ferret. She also wears the most fashionable fur hats - jk that’s her brother Geralt’s butt.

TCG Legends Expo is off to a good start! I brought some new tokens and some AP cards with art on them. The AP card with Chatterfang on it already sold!

My friend Hope was at the Heinz History Center today and saw the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators show. I didn’t have a piece in but I was allowed to share a work to be included in a slide show. I chose Ruthless Negotiation because it’s a pretty recognizable illustration I’ve done. 🙂
