This little stinker of a squirrel completely ignored me while it stole our bird seed. Then it had the audacity to just walk up to me and look me right in the eye while I was sitting on the patio.
Baby backs are done! Gonna let them rest for 30 minutes or so before I slice them up.
Four hours in. Temping around 195°F internal, so we are literally right at the cusp of being done.
Three hours in. We're temping around 175°F internal, so they should be finished in the next hour or two.
Now that I've had a couple of yummy biscuits, time to consult the ancient religious texts.
I barbecue chicken. Usually I grill it, because chicken benefits more from high and direct heat. But sometimes I barbecue chicken low and slow in my offset smoker.
5 years ago, a feral mama cat had kittens under our neighbor's shed. After mama abandoned them, we caught them with humane traps, took them to the vet for checkups, shots, got them fixed, and adopted them. Raven was the first one we trapped. She was so tiny and so scared. I have a soft spot for her.

I smoked both a beef brisket and a pork butt with hickory on Father's Day. They turned out really tasty.
