ROLLINKUNZ!
@rollinkunz
Greetings! I am an inky illustrator and designer of bizarro games! (he/him) The DUNGENERATOR, 🎲DIE in a Dungeon, ORC BORG, etc. Soon: DUNGENERATOR Series 3!
A few shots from Chupacabracon this past weekend. It went well! I think I'll be doing more of these (but maybe in a few months 😅) #ttrpgs #DUNGENERATOR #DIEinaDungeon #ORCBORG
Convention banner I put together for DIE in a Dungeon. Yes, I'll finally be selling my own games in person. Yes, I'm terrified. Yes, you can save me the hassle and go get it online instead 😅 #boardgameart #DUNGENERATOR #DIEinaDungeon
Drawing process for a cute lil mushroom 🍄 😌 (Music is Herbie Hancock) #artprocess
Logo drawing process! A commission for SNOWDAY MEDIA. Music is KNEECAP 🤘
I guess this is just how I best relate to folks and fit into society. Anyway. There are a few days left of the game. Stop by if you'd like me to cook you up some credentials. :)
As the game winds down, I find myself much less overwhelmed by an extra queue of free graphic design work, and more retrospective. Did I interact with it in the way that was best for me? Is it telling that I chose to run an art service, even far away in a distant galaxy?
Anthony Bourdain visited THE AWESOME METAL BUTTHOLE today. (I choose to believe it is actually him, and not someone roleplaying as him.) Overall, an excellent review
I should really go back and check how many ID customers ended up deoxygenated. Definitely some. I think that kid that conned me survived a death match, though
I finally got some proper use out of the gold ID template by making one for Heron, who's been so helpful running both the Cowboy bar ("Marlowe's Rest") and the attached AWESOME METAL BUTTHOLE.
SO MANY good characters are aboard this station. Maybe you're a dataghost. Maybe you're a giant bug. Maybe you're a fish with robot legs
At one point, someone asked if I'd like to go on a dangerous expedition to the Choke to fight some techno-zombies, and I thought to myself "but who will make the IDs, then?"
Sometimes I would sneak extra little tidbits or graphical elements into an ID, like with "Dookie" Moneybags, here (one of my favorite characters on the station)
I honestly have no idea how this many folks found my little business. I advertised once and never again. But I've gotten to see little snippets of the many massive groups of people weaving storylines together, just being in a lil corner making my IDs
A child (?) conned me into making him a super-special VIP ID, and then never paid me for it. Curses. Also my boi Wylte got a glow-up:
Some more CHC Cowboys started coming by for "official" IDs. And a few folks from the Code Breaker's Club. (The first thing I did when starting playing was crack a few actually encrypted codes by fiddling around with custom spreadsheets. Didn't really get me anything, but I did make some cool sheets)
I feel like maybe somewhere around here is where the station's bottom blew up and a bunch of cyber-zombies started wreaking havoc? Unclear. (Eustace here is Ferrin's character, by the way)
(I'm sorry I'm not tagging all of the portrait artists right now; it's late and I am just getting this out there to wind down. I will go back and seek everyone out to tag at the end)
More artists (and I began to see several portraits in a similar style that turned out to be by ROOT/ARCS/VAST/etc. artist Kyle Ferrin)
The fake ID business began booming, and I started to meet some fellow artists (as, once folks commissioned a character portrait, they often wanted an official ID to further commemorate it)
Soon after, I opened THE AWESOME METAL BUTTHOLE, a side-club of the Canyonheavy Collective's adopted bar, accessed via a cool metal sphincter-like blast door. In Jenny's honor, the CHC named this fucked up lil cyborg bartender "Jenny Calacheesey." (Art obtained from the excellent Black Market)
I think rising corporate star Jenny Calabrese was assassinated maybe a day or two after I made her an ID. (Unrelated, but this would happen multiple times)
Of course, from there, it was easy to start attracting some big names. Who wouldn't want to throw their wallet down a trash chute and receive a souvenir? (I think this might have been around the time I was recruited by the Canyonheavy hacker collective, for... unrelated reasons)
With my examples in place, I set up shop in the nearest garbage chute and settled in. It wasn't too long before I got my first customers. Paige Laux was THE first, because she somehow sees everything happening on The Dream.
I also made these IDs for a friend's chickens. You know, because silly.
(No, the faces weren't made with "machine learning" - just good ol' photoshoppe fuckery. I downloaded a bunch of example IDs and layered them in a creepy way.)
With OVER/UNDER almost over (under), here are allll of the fake IDs I've created for denizens of the Prospero's Dream Station: First, a few warmups that I made to show off the templates.
