We Demand Stories is Brooklyn Speculative Fiction Writers’ limited series salon. AI, eco-fiction, near future space exploration, post-Tolkien (postcolonial) world building, and death: BSFW takes on these topics and more with writers and academics who can broaden our understanding beyond the fear-driven news feed. After very brief readings from panelists, this salon invites the audience to join in a uniquely formatted conversation about U.S. policy, and the stories we want to tell that take us beyond the fear and into the speculative.

Skippy sells PB Bites, which are peanuts ground into peanut butter and then reassembled into peanut size spheres. They're weird as food, but incredible as a high-concept art piece. Recommended.

had a Jude Law year, where a lot of stuff I wrote over the course of 15 years came out all at once I would be honored to be considered for awards, especially for my first novel; a nomination would bring eyes to a book I'm proud of, from a *tiny* press with no marketing budget

Here it is: Mary Poppins if it were directed by Bob Fosse. My head looks improbably large due to foreshortening; it's difficult to get an entire outfit into frame with any personality. I have increasing sympathy for fashion magazines using photoshop to reshape bodies in post.
