At UNESCO Headquarters, I met with Gaspard Banyankimbona, African Union Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation. We agreed to continue cooperation focusing on VET & training and in promoting the skills needed by the labour markets in collaboration with the private sector.

Good to meet with 🇨🇿 Minister Aleš Juchelka on the sidelines of #EPSCO. We discussed about the upcoming Fair Labour Mobility package, the transposition of the Pay Transparency Directive, and the upcoming Quality Jobs Act.

I welcome the provisional agreement reached by the @europarl.europa.eu and the @cy2026eu.bsky.social on a single digital declaration portal for companies posting workers temporarily to another EU country. It is an important step the enforcement of EU labour rules.

By strengthening EU rules on carcinogens, mutagens and reprotoxic substances, we are delivering concrete protection for workers’ health and building on the Quality Jobs Roadmap. Today’s agreement will help prevent avoidable illness, save lives and make workplaces safer across Europe.

Increasing minimum wage, promoting centralised negotiations, extending collective agreements' coverage as well as their temporal application are key measures to support workers and businesses alike. Big congrats to Greek people and Greek authorities: this is what rebuilding trust looks like. (2/2)
