K2 is armed. The kit doesn’t have an option to have him holding anything, so I had to chop up a blaster that came with the stormtrooper kit.

I keep needing to make new fake stuff. After this little electrical junction box is done, I think the scratch building is done. Maybe.
Had to kitbash another element for the diorama. I’m giddy when I get to do this.
Smoke from the Boundary Waters wildfires has reached down to me. Got these as I pulled into work this morning.
When I read “…with Tremor” I was kinda hoping to seee you alongside this guy:
Scratch building a cargo container, upon which the stormtrooper will be slumped
I don’t want the stormtrooper laying flat. So I need stuff for him to be against. In the finest Star Wars model shop tradition, I went to the spares box and kitbashed “stuff”.
Walls cut and glued to the base. Added some flair to activate the interior space. Tomorrow I should be able to get a coat of the acrylic paste down. Hopefully Sunday I can start paint.
Dunno if any of you have used this, but I tried it out and am sold. Inexpensive, easy to apply, sands easily and smoothly, takes paint well. I’ll be using it to coat the styrofoam on the diorama. See the original foam texture, then paste applied, sanded and painted. I dig the adobe-like texture.
Found a door I liked, need to transcribe it onto some styrene sheet. And I got the foam cut for the basic diorama layout. Slow but steady progress.
K-2 is close to done. Some decals needs to go down, and a satin coat before final washes. The gray is over a coat of aluminum, and I scratched through the gray for subtle weathering. #histscalemodels
