So begins my quest to complete a master set of The Hobbit #MTG! I know to truly 100% it, I'd need one of the coveted golden Smaugs, which isn't going to happen, and I probably won't be able to get all the fanciest treatments, but I'm hoping to try and at least get one version of every card!

Went to our LGS for a casual #MTGxHobbit pre-release! I went red-white dwarves, and felt really good about the deck...but got absolutely molly-whopped 😂

MTG rules question: If you steal someone's creature with Shield Broker, then later blink that creature with Restoration Angel, do you get control of them permanently? Follow-up question: Does any equipment on said stolen creature fall off and back to the original controller's board?

#MTGxHobbit pre-release hype is real! 30 minutes before our LGS opens and there's already probably about 20 people in line. I picked up a Draft Night, but our store was selling CBs for $55 a pop (or the whole box for $660). I'm curious what other LGS's are selling them for! Lmk in the replies!

On the subject of The Hobbit...here is one of my most prized possessions! A custom bound copy of The Hobbit made by my wife for my birthday!

So far I've seen this card listed for $1,999 and $1,499, which seems insane to me. That being said, I'd be happy to part with mine for a smooth $1,000 😂

My daughter recently got the Yoshi one from a relative as a gift and holy shit it's gotta be the worst designed "bucket' I've ever seen. It's got a hole in the back of the egg so all the popcorn just falls into Yoshi's tail and legs area and you've gotta have the hand of a 4 year old to reach it.
