Mika showing off her people skills with her dad at a local cafe today. She often reacts to traffic, people particularly men, dogs(she’s not scared of dogs but excitement and lead frustration can kick in) and cyclists. Today she saw a lot of her triggers and had a clean run. Well done Mika 👍

This is Mika. I’m coming to the end of a three week stay with Mika. She has problems with guests in the house and with people out on walks. It was important for Mika and me to form a solid bond before making a start with training. This was only after a couple of hours together.

Happily Ripley, Nina and I met two #sophiefromromania fans this afternoon. It was a delight to spend some time chatting to Marlene and Bev about dogs, of course.. Ripley gave them her usual enthusiastic welcome. Safe journey home Tomorrow Marlene and Bev. Hope you enjoyed your time in Portsoy.

This handsome young man is Troy. He has two amazing guardians, Peter and Frances (Pablo and King King). Troy, much like #sophiefromromania is scared by the world. But, with patience and a bucket full of gentle kindness, he’s learning to feel safe. Big steps this week. Watch this space for more.

In other news this startlingly clever pair, Pablo and King King (aka The Hong Kong Assassins-full story later) show off their skills in a thoughtfully provided inner city dog space near their home.

Thank you to everyone who came to hear me talk at Aberdeen Waterstones yesterday. What a lovely bunch of people and so engaged too despite my tendency to take a walk down Tangent Avenue 🤣 I thoroughly enjoyed chatting to everyone. Photos to follow but here’s the display to be going on with.

No.1 best seller on Audible: Travel With Pets category. That's cool even if there's no travelling... It's full of peoples "journey" with their dogs I guess 🤷‍♀️I'll take it either way. Thank you to all who have bought the book so far. 🙏
