Sophie getting her eyes dilated for her GRPU follow up exam. Such a sweet girl. Please golden families, get your pups checked annually for GRPU. It can cause pain and eye loss. She was diagnosed around 3-4 years old and has been on drops for years. So far we are lucky and it has been stable.
There is a rough life, and then there is this. Bennie seems to be happy the cable has been fixed. Been without WiFi/TV for two days. Currently up and running on a temp cable. Our pine tree finally did its thing and snapped cable. Another adventure when they restring cable, but for now all is well.
Beautiful! Was out watering last night and saw this. Got a couple of the neighbors in on a conversation as to whether to pull or leave it. So beautiful. Native fireweed. It is on an island in our culdesac. I help maintain the island so had to get agreement.
I had a momma raise babies in a large patch of oxeye daisies and the next year the area where the nest was grew nothing. For two years. 😳 Babies were adorable though.
Bennie and Sophie got to see grandma, aunts, and uncle today at the beach on Puget Sound. 🐾🩷🐾🩵
I was today’s years old when I learned that artichokes have beautiful flowers and attract bees 🐝! OMG!

Hi girls! Do you guys like fruit? This little one carries cherries around in his mouth like treasure. Thank goodness I haven’t seen him eat them.
We are going through cherry tree fruit drop lately. This face greets me every time we go outside. Bennie carries these things around like a sucker. Doesn’t eat them that I can tell. Just carries them. 😂 Most times you just see the stem.
So this little Dobby went for a walk about today. Spouse thought that he would come running back at request. The faster spouse ran after him, the game became more fun for Bennie. They are not currently on speaking terms now that he caught him. 😑
Before/after. We didn’t know what to ask groomer for. He’s neked. 🫣 Like the bow tie and I’m sure he feels cooler now.
The annual blooms on sticks (due to leave rust spots). This is why I continue to grow this plant. Also an alfalfa butterfly. New to me.

Now that Bennie’s fur has grown in a bit, any guess as to breed mix? Approx 20 lbs. Coat is like a little swiffer. Picks up everything and is a mix of soft and rough coat.
