That poster seems to be a pastiche of "The Sting"...or has everyone else already pointed this out?
Last night's listen. 1953-54 Miles. One of my most played Lps. Had this copy for over 45 years now. Every single note is perfection, to me.
What I dislike is the complete lack of compassion, or empathy. In the Randian world it's everyone for themselves, with no room for mercy or failure, and helping others is seen as a sign of weakness. Ditko seems to have driven mad by this idea.
This "enormous club" motif features more than once...Ditko's unsubtle metaphor for coercion is just one of many manifestations of his "either-or" stance, which is also the obsessive subtext of every Mr A story.
Tonight's listening...electroacoustic music from Finland on the Edition RZ label (1989). No physical copy in my hands, alas, but streamable on YouTube. Wildly impressive, especially Patrick Kosk and his "Transmissions In A". I do own a few titles on this label and their pressing quality is superbo.
That's one of my most-read comics ever - at any rate, I have the reprint in the Fantagraphics softcover. Ditko during his most intense Ayn Rand phase! It's bonkers!

Things I picked up in the neighbourhood today...I'm workin' on a foxy thing for @colossive.com yes indeed, so I take this find as a good omen, indicating the vupline gods will be propitious to me.
You might enjoy this 1974 record by George Duke...Zappa adds guitar (under an alias) as a kind of thank-you present, after Duke had been on the road in what many would consider the best Zappa touring band. Zappa rarely made this kind of altruistic gesture, but he did it for Duke.
