You ever have a game you just KNOW is going to resonate with you deeply, so you hold off on experiencing it until "the time is right"? Moon RPG was always one of those games for me, but today is the day. 🌙
Early 2000s promotional art for White Day. Adore the gentle blue shading used here! White Day wasn't Korea's first horror game, but it certainly was the first one to weave in so much of Korea's rich culture, history and folklore. Can't wait to show you guys what I've been cooking!
the floating head lady is iconic!!! I learned that they made umbrella merch of her around the time the remake came out lmao
Whoops, forgot to tell you guys what the next video is actually about. We'll be looking at the Korean indie horror series, White Day! Managed to dig up some reaaaaally fascinating stuff about this one. Look forward to it! 👻 (Folklore vid is still happening dw just on hold for a minute)
Started playing the 2000s Silent Hill phone games last week and for reasons unknown they have a taste mechanic you barely ever use Sadly, you cannot lick the monsters. I tried
Happy Father's Day to one of gaming's best dads, Harry Mason. Here's one of my favourite art pieces from Silent Hill of Harry and a young Heather ❤️ Artist: Masahiro Ito
Code Veronica is my favourite Resident Evil I’ve been waiting to see Steve and Alfred and Rockfort Island again for so long I am so normal about this remake announcement
Aaaand done! First time building a figure kit and it was super fun and relaxing, I totally see the appeal! And now I get a neat lil Kyoya figure, one of my favourite horror protags 🩸 Posted the full unboxing and assembly on the second channel :)
Brand new Siren merch in 2026 wtffff he’s HEREEEEEEE I did not realise he was one of those figures you have to build yourself. Never done one of those before! Will report back
On my fifty millionth rewatch of The Office and all I see whenever David Wallace comes on-screen is Shattered Memories Harry
my favourite part of PS1 deep dives is casually discovering games with the most beautiful box art you will ever see game is Iblard: Laputa no Kaeru Machi (1997), artist is Naohisa Inoue
thanks for watching the Not Treasure Hunter vid! Really jam with the short n sweet “hey here’s this old, cool Japanese PS1 game” video format in between bigger, more research-heavy projects Definitely look forward to more of em in future, got plenty more weirdo gems to show you (:
Butler Guillotine is an absurdist point n click horror that is not getting nearly enough attention imo. Haunting cinematography and a gut-wrenching story told in the most beautiful way. Gonna be thinking about this one for days. Highly recommend :)
"I'm going to try get in the habit of making shorter videos in between bigger projects!" "Shorter" video still ends up being 30 minutes long
the Folklore video is still happening but it needs more time to cook! So I'm working on a smaller video that I'll have out for you guys VERY soon - it's a cinematic adventure game on the PS1 that never left Japan with over 50 endings and it is very unintentionally hilarious look forward to it!
The Silent Hill 1 hospital elevator suddenly getting a 4th floor button is already creepy, but I love that it also ties into the east Asian belief that the number 4 is associated with death (both 4 四 and death 死 are pronounced "shi") It's one of my favourite scares in the series for this reason
Next video we'll be discussing Folklore, a dark fantasy RPG released in 2007 on the PS3! We'll be focusing on the beautiful and expansive Irish mythology, culture and history on display in the game, and how it's all explored through a (very) Japanese lens! Look forward to it ☘️
