Bradford isn't showing humility by changing his tune on bike lanes. He knows bike lanes don't negatively impact EMS response times, businesses or congestion. He, like Doug Ford has the data and reports. He's simply lying to get votes and pitting voters against each other for personal gain.
We've just hosted 6 free workshops & engaged with 500 gig workers to promote safe riding, knowledge of the rules of the road, & what devices are legal. Instead of reach out to us, TPS & the City of Toronto are leaning into another ticketing blitz...it's an election year, do better.
If you're out there today ride safe. If you're delivering food by bike and need a N95 mask, we got a ton of free ones, so come by the Biking Lawyer LLP office at 158 Sterling Rd. Suite 703. This applies to all our @thebikebrigade friends out delivering food to our neighbours in need today too!
Last night I was one of several cyclists who ferries donated produce from the @trinitybellwoodsfarmersmarket to community fridges across the city. Like riding bikes AND helping community? Join @thebikebrigade: www.bikebrigade.ca/get-involved
We are offering free delivery bags and a bike safety/rules of the road info session for gig workers in Scarborough on Monday July 27, 2026 (Danforth and Victoria Park). In partnership w @accessalliance.bsky.social @scarboroughcycles, @thebikebrigade @cycletoronto.bsky.social.
A little #CanadaDay Bike Brigadin' for our pals @cf___to & @parkdalefoodbank. Join us, support our neighbours and rad community orgs: www.bikebrigade.ca/get-involved
Starting tomorrow, changes to mandatory auto insurance coverage in Ontario are going to have huge negative impacts on cyclists & pedestrians struck by motorists. Injured people (drivers included) will be left without thousands of dollars in supports: www.thebikinglawyer.ca/post/underst...
Punk kids, maybe, but more likely it's the same kind of person who chops down & defaces speed cameras (co-signed by Premier Ford). The idea that motorists shouldn't be inconvenienced for one second is a bigger problem than one off graffiti though. This in a construction zone w people working...
Same day, different white pickup, near rush hour, blocking the bike lane and sidewalk. Perhaps there was a real emergency here that required this move and I hope he's ok, but there did not appear to be a crash and dude was calmly on his phone. Do we live in a society?
If police are permitted to roll stop signs when it's safe to do so, they shouldn't be ticketing cyclists doing the same in High Park on the MGT or anywhere... Video taken on Monday.
This guy parked like this (not in his truck) since at least 6am. Who bets he can't stand cyclists who roll stop signs, don't wear helmets, wear black clothing... On a positive note, I see that the TPS' Parking Enforcement page is easier to navigate & report scofflaws: www.tps.ca/services/onl...
Join us tomorrow at MEC North York for a FREE Know Your Rights Workshop. Cyclists, it's important to be aware of your rights and entitlements should the unfortunate occur. Come for the workshop and a great Q&A! 2pm Sat. June 20 @ 784 Sheppard Av E.
We are proud to support @compassch in #Hamilton again this year with a bunch of free helmets. These helmets will go to Compass clients who sign up to the Compass x @everyoneridesinitiative bike pass. More people on bikes in Hamilton, heck ya. Thanks @cycletherapyham.bsky.social for the back up!

WE ARE BACK AGAIN ALL DAY FOR FREE BIKE SAFETY CHECKS AND LIGHTS @DOWESTFEST DUNDAS AND GLADSTONE

Today we ride. Grab your bikes, grab your friends and join us at Little Norway Park at 6pm. With TPS and their union buddies doubling down on support for their officers needlessly tackling and injuring a person on a bike over traffic infractions, it's important that we stand together.
Given the recent police violence perpetrated against a cyclist on Queen's Quay, TPS' statement in support of that violence and the silence from City Hall, it's probably time we ride. Strength in numbers. Bring friends. Share widely. Ride bikes.
TPS needs to show me in their use of force manual where a refusal to stop and swearing at the boys without any immediate danger to them or the public justifies a violent takedown. I can't believe they actually released this statement. Oh wait they have absolute impunity and hate bikes...
Video of what appears to be multiple @tps.ca officers tackling & arresting a cyclist during a stop sign trap on the MGT. Cyclist - "What did I do wrong?" Cop - "You didn't stop." If true, this is excessive use of force for a traffic stop. Mayor Chow & @ausmalik.bsky.social plz look into this.
Full house for our delivery rider safety workshop! If only politicians like Bradford thought to work w and empower people rather than demonizing them for personal gain...we might actually have a better city!
Yesterday was another great day talking to food delivery riders about their rights & responsibilities on the roads! With @cycletoronto.bsky.social & Toronto Bike Brigade we're focusing on education over enforcement. Our last workshop (for now) is today, May 21 at 427 Bloor W, 230pm registration.
We're giving out another 200+ FREE delivery bags to gig workers who attend a safe cycling session on May 20 or 21! Spread the word, help encourage safe riding & dialogue. Education over enforcement: www.thebikinglawyer.ca/post/the-e-b... Partners: @cycletoronto.bsky.social @tomflood.bsky.social
A fantastic Pedestrian Summit put on by @ffsafestreets.bsky.social & attended by so many rad people. Packed house on a Sunday night. Well held walkers & rollers.
Toronto for sure but many municipalities quickly switch from Winter to Construction and with it all the usual lackluster safety precautions for Vulnerable Road Users. Why the City of Toronto does not have a mobility squad to ensure safety at road closures and constructions sites is beyond us... 1/2
There are dangerous holes in the road along our College St commute in Toronto. We'd like to hear that you've reported a serious hazard rather than hit one, been seriously injured & need our help. So, pay it forward, contact local authorities (311 in Toronto/Ottawa, pothole@hamilton.ca etc.). 1/2
Massive bike eating holes just east of Dovercourt on College in Toronto, conveniently between the streetcar track and dooring zone. Careful friends. South side.
Honoured to have engaged w over 200 ebiking gig workers over the past 3 days. Our safe cycling sessions are a model for what the City of Toronto, Uber etc. could do to ensure everyone on our roads is a little more safe. Education>enforcement. @cycletoronto.bsky.social @tomflood.bsky.social
A packed house for our final safe cycling presentation! Cc @cycletoronto.bsky.social @tomflood.bsky.social
