Shaded. It's been an ongoing struggle to figure out a method of color and shading that works with both my color blindness and anxious disposition, but I think I may have cracked the code for how to shade using only black and white. Just don't ask what the layer hierarchy looks like.
Haven't posted anything new in far too long, so here's a study I'm working on. Flats only because I'm not sure how I want to proceed with the shading, but here it is nevertheless.
Qrp with your most popular bsky piece! That it's of someone else's OCs tells me that I really ought to start locking in on my own creations.
Figured this would work well with @mogidraw.bsky.social's OC Phebe. And thanks to @theposearchives.bsky.social for keeping us inspired. #DTPYSJUL26
Decided to join in. Started sketching for a different challenge, and the opportunity to draw Phebe again was the inspiration I needed.
Thanks for the share, and I can relate to going quiet for a while. And thanks to @sxg.bsky.social for the tag. In return I'm tagging @delliensfw.bsky.social @darkminou.bsky.social @knowonnos.com and @dixonlyrax.bsky.social.
Why hello there, and thanks for the art share, and gratitude to @sxg.bsky.social for the tag. I'm LC, and when I'm not running myself ragged at a blue collar day job, I'm safe at home office creating racy art. Tagging @ebi77.com @mogidraw.bsky.social @pixeljail.com and @japesarcher.bsky.social.
When it comes to spicy Star Wars fanart, I feel like Twi'leks get over-represented, so here's a little love for the Zabrak.
Thanks for the artshare. I'm LC, an artist with a non-art day job who creates spicy content under a pseudonym for the love of the game. Tagging @japesarcher.bsky.social @sxg.bsky.social @gaydandellion.bsky.social and @gvellav.bsky.social.
A nice bit of practice courtesy @missfaves.bsky.social's excellent cosplay.
@m-ric.bsky.social posted a list of proposed groupings of their OCs on Discord a while back, and rather than wait I decided to just draw some myself (Percy/Yael). Background is a little sparse and I didn't really plan out the lighting scheme, but I like how it looks overall.
I'm consciously trying to break the habit of slowly leaking out snippets of WIPs, but I also want to remind anyone who might want to know that I am, in fact, still making art.
Yet another study. Somehow, the shading stage always starts out as an exercise in frustration until somehow I manage to crest that hill and it all starts clicking. So if I can find a way to skip right to THAT part, that's be great. Ref credit to @moxxxi.bsky.social.
Just a little study between bigger projects. I'm very happy with the simplicity of the lines and forms. Ref credit thanks to @thesleepysuccubus.bsky.social.
Decided to have a go at @rudegobbo.bsky.social's OCs Bri and Jasna. Hope I did them justice.
Going to try a new thing here. If you've been following me for a bit, you know that I do a LOT of figure studies from reference. You may also have noticed that I get a lot of creative incentive from adapting other peoples' OCs. So, going forward I'm going to try and combine the two.
Finally, an annual internet meme event that I'm actually ready for!
Decided to try and bang out a drawing of my OC Galatea for #goldenweek. How did I not know this was a thing before? I promise I'll be on top of it next year. Ref credit to @theposearchives.bsky.social.
I don't know what I did or how I did it, but I feel like I'm nailing this.
Hi all, and thanks for the artshare. I'm LC, and I draw ribald art when time allows (which is not as often as I'd like), and despite not monetizing this pursuit, I often find myself most motivated when portraying other peoples' OCs or taking inspiration/suggestions from the community.
I've been trying to put a little texture into my outlines. Textured brushes never worked great for me, but I found that I get much better results adjusting the value output of the lineart layer and pain-filling the texture directly on the filter mask.
