I've been on a kick and thought I'd share~ Can't always be about frills and padding hm?

Apropos of nothing...

So tired of this in AAA games. Three, highly detailed photographs of desert, meadow and jungle with a crudely drawn stick figure person and house called "place" taped to the photographs.
The 3rd large image of a large mountain meadow has a small crudely drawn tower in the distance in addition to the stick person and building.

Two books. On the left, The Illusion of Life. Disney Animation. By Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, two of Walt Disneys "Nine Old Men" of animation.
On the right, The Animators Survival Kit Expanded Edition by Richard Williams, animation director for the 1988 Film "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit".
These two books are considered required reading for 2D animators.
