The fundraiser I have been sharing is so it can help me and my family get back on our feet after devastating losses. The pressure feels so suffocating and I feel like a complete nuisance and a failure to constantly have to ask for help.

I am thankful to have friends who have offered me jobs travelling to conventions. They’re the only reason I get to do anything fun in wake of everything that has happened. Regardless, the money is not enough, and I still need help.

Given the state of the country I currently live in, I fear that my disability will price me out of food, shelter and living. Despite being on government assistance, the rising cost of energy bills and groceries has left me with an empty fridge several times these past few months. I also fear that given my racial and queer identity, my own government will put a target on my back and I’ll have nowhere to run.

It's an exhausting feeling, looking to the future and only seeing all roads lead to death.

In February, my grandmother passed away suddenly. My mother and my grandfather did not expect this, and both are depending on me in the mourning process for emotional and financial support. In the following weeks I discovered I inherited more responsibilities than I was ready for.

To make matters worse, just two weeks ago my younger brother called me to tell me his kidneys were failing and that he is on dialysis. I nearly lost him, I could *still* lose him, and I am completely overwhelmed. The grief has become unbearable. It's hard to maintain a jovial presence while having such a heavy heart.

Someone who promised to hire me earlier this year ghosted me. I’ve been hopping from freelance job to freelance job, endlessly applying to more permanent remote jobs, but receiving rejection letter after rejection letter has become demoralizing.

I opened art commissions, but my arthritis leaves me in so much pain it’s a slow process. This makes my turnaround time incredibly long. It’s not a sustainable force of income, especially since most people don’t want to pay a living wage for art.

i'm working so hard, but i know i can't do this alone.

My disability is slowly deteriorating my body, and I need help. Again.

Some of you know I was diagnosed with CPTSD & a dissociative disorder from a deeply traumatic incident that I have to see a specialized therapist for. I developed a chronic illness that made it very difficult to eat, and my arthritis worsened to the point where I need to spend a day recovering from anytime I spend outside my house. For the longest time, I was working a part time job on survival mode with no help.

I’ve already received help from so many people when things were difficult. It’s upsetting to need help again.
