A dull kinda sunset hour suddenly turned dramatic last night with some cumulus clouds fringed with fiery light. You'll probably recognise Waterloo Place looking along Princes Street past the The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel There is something very Steamtrainy about the scene.

Our 'hood from top of St Michael's Kirk on Slateford Rd looking over Polwarth to Bruntsfield & beyond to Arthur's Seat. Spot old Boroughmuir HS's white towers at either end & spires of Barclay Viewforth Kirk on the Links & Bruntsfield Evangelical Church further up the hill but much lower in height.
