1. "The Quickening" by Kiuas youtu.be/TtdH8jWSpAo Art commissioned from @vital.monster (2014), and inspired by the song.

Tonks wearing a dark outfit consisting of an open leather jacket, heavy boots, dark trousers, and a white tshirt. They're gripping a metal chain which is tied around a skeletal dragon-like creature's muzzle. The creature is mostly out of shot, but it's resting its claws on Tonks' shoulders, and wrapping its long skeletal tail around Tonks' waist.

The pair of them are standing atop a rich almost plum crimson (think the colour of netherrack in Minecraft) rocky cliffedge, overlooking a desolate landscape of lava, similar rocky formations, & foreboding dark mountains in the background.

The piece of art was directly inspired by the song Kiuas' "The Quickening" from their fourth & currently final album "Lustdriven".

As guidance, the artist @vital.monster render this scene in beautiful watercolours, and was asked to take direct inspiration from the song, particularly the lyrics:

"Scorched once by the fire,
On one of those long trips to Hell,
And my demons are alive and well.
But now their master has tamed them,
As they couldn't break my spell,
In my own utopia is where we dwell."

5. Tonks has an alterego as the Lady Colby Ashley Mareux who does seem to be some sort of nobility. This has lead to a lot of confusion between Rustle & Xijon (two other OCs) of exactly how this is possible; Max is just along for the ride. Tonks won't say.

3. Tonks has a mirror universe doppelganger called Skont Ytarirom. Due to a multiverse mishap, the pair can't touch each other without being sent to a parallel universe in proximity to another Tonks.

Skont Ytarirom. Mirror universe doppelganger to Tonks. Technically the only "evil" Tonks in the local Multiverse. They're incredibly sour about that.

The main difference between prime Tonks & Skont is Skont dresses way more formally, and wears wide-brimmed round spectacles. Tonks needs glasses too, but they use contacts instead.

But... With some tweaking, I have managed to repurpose the art to make something more meaningful to myself. The symbol on the flag is composed of two parts: The Summoning Dark - A symbol of directed vengeance and rage The Guarding Dark - A symbol of self control and determination

Tonks in a black & silver uniform inspired by the 19th Century British uniform. They're holding a black flag with a symbol of a round circle slashed through with four bars, and beneath that a demonic looking eye with a tail.

Yes, the black and silver is inspired by the Black Parade.

The Summoning Dark - A symbol (and quasi-demonic spirit of vengeance from the dawn of time). It is summoned by someone pourng their rage and need for vengeance into drawing the symbol with their last breath.

It looks like an eye with a pointed curled tail.

It's from Terry Pratchett's Discworld Novels, particularly "Thud". This symbol was left as a parting gift on Sam Vimes' body by the Summoning Dark after he beat it with his self-control and determination.

The Guarding Dark - An unofficial representation of Sam Vimes' self control & determination that he used to beat back The Summoning Dark which had possessed him to do unspeakable violence instead of justice.

The symbol is inspired by the events of Terry Pratchett's Thud, and endorsed by the Pratchett estate.

These two stickers together were meant to be counterparts to each other, with both being references to songs I like and my own heritage.

The Sabaton album "The Last Stand", which "The Winged Hussars" is a part of. To the right of the centrally placed American WWI GI is a Winged Hussar.

There was also another layer of meaning to why I had it commissioned. My heritage. I am the child of both someone whose family goes back generations up North, and someone who immigrated to the UK. And while the Hussars became a meme, the UK flag has continued to be a symbol nationalistic right.

Tonks as a fictionalised version of a Winged Hussars.

(The wings were on the saddle of a horse, not the soldier)

Today, I officially retire a sticker from my sticker pack. I no longer feel comfortable repping the British flag in my sticker pack. It was include in homage to the Iron Maiden song "The Trooper". But as it continues to be used by flag shaggers to harrass migrants and minorities, I draw a line.

Started ADHD titration today, and had my first dose of Methylphenidate hydrochloride (branded Xaggitin XL). My initial feeling is it's a lot easier to choose task. Like I can put something down, and choose to do something more important.
