The spouse gifted me some Koi Footwear Kawaii Hydras and I immediately set out to make shoe chains for them
These are both recent crafts. The choker, I wore to Develop: Brighton The longer necklace, I only finished today after salvaging some hard plastic ball toys that were strewn around the reuse room of the local tip. I gave them Trench colours and iconography
I'm exhausted from the full day of recording yesterday but I feel absolutely glorious mentally Like, this image. There's something about it to me. Something feels like it's awakening in me and I don't know how to describe it. It just feels *right*
Here we are. This is where I'll be for the next 12h probably. Wish me luck folks, I could use the encouragement this morning 🙏🏽
Then there's this one. Technically still a WIP but all it needs is a charm attaching to the works. Based it off of the Minecraft creeper I'm no Minecraft fan or player so if anyone wants to take this off my hands for a price, please lemme know!
I'd not updated this in a while but I think I've made some sellable mini cuffs 👀✨ Let's start with this traffic cone one, which I made simply to use up the two tiny traffic cone toys I got This one's harder to rotate because of the traffic cones, but we can at least fidget with them
I now have a freezer bag full of badges to give away to some people I hope to network with at Develop: Brighton. Yep I'll be theeeeeere 🩷💜🩵🤍🖤 LFG #gamedev #gameaudio
Today in order to try and soothe myself I went charity shop clothes hunting in Lytham St Anne's and uh I found an S+ tier find????? again??? These hairclips omg
This was one of the songs in my set from last night
Followed stegodoodle's tutorial for this on YouTube but it's safe to say, now, that as of this post I am an intermediate kandi maker, as I have finally learnt the X base cuff pattern All I've gotta learn now is the peyote stitch and I'll be on my way
Made a bi pride lapel accessory Found the heart shaped wooden charm (blank) in a collectable shop in Preston Market, before inking it with bi pride colours and then sealing it, and then the rest is my reinforced ladder stitch Expect me to wear this during Develop: Brighton
So, a number of you know that I have dreams of being a stage performing person, solo or otherwise and I am designing headgear and I need help uhhh These bars aren't sticking, and I tried superglue and contact adhesive and there's too little surface area Any ideas appreciated 🙏🏽
Today's crafting project, in four images, is a keychain charm made with black elastic, spare black necklace cord, worn out / grey / silver pony beads, and a broken wooden bird I was given. I painted it black and wrote lyrics from The Beatles' "Blackbird" on it, before ladder stitching the beads
Now *this,* my friends, is a choker I absolutely tortured myself making this, again because the string isn't elastic I'd set out on my crafting journey to try and make my stage look distinctive. But after Tuesday's suspected racist event I must ask, "what even the fuck is the point"
Made these earrings with the leftover string I had from the cuff (I did not cut new) As well as beads that I had salvaged from a ladder cuff that I've now retired now that I've got the better looking one
This was my single most difficult cuff, made today. This string was marketed as elastic, but it fucking wasn't... so I decided to make some adjustments to the ladder cuff stitch so that I could work a clasp into it I had to wrestle the jump rings into this construction like I was wrestling a bear
Today's crafting project was a bit of foresight for Halloween: a longer kandi star glove that goes all the way to just before the elbow Saves me from getting too many Halloween themed beadstrings
Also reposting this here to signal that I cut up at least one of the ladder cuffs, the bi pride one, in order to redo it completely with more reinforcement in the way I tied my elastic, then attached a bunch of charms so that I could fidget This was the result. I much prefer this to the original
Repurposed a pair of earrings I'd had for ages into these dangly hairclips The earrings have been superseded by a chunkier, bejewelled pair I found in a charity shop today. So now these are going on my hair instead. The more stars on my person, the better I suppose ⭐
Sometimes I craft things based on wishes, dreams, ideals that we may have strayed from. This is one of them The colour choice was deliberate
I love drawing, but this has genuinely been a fucking painful exercise, taking me weeks when it should normally take me hours I sit in front of Autodesk Sketchbook and feel a deep despair along the lines of, "lol add another one to the ever growing list of useless skills"
Little wraparound bracelet with letter charms spelling out "Bitch" that I made over the last few days. For all those times I was called one for telling my story as a survivor, or for otherwise doing what I believed was right
Got a job lot of beads yesterday in the post and couldn't do anything with them yet as I was out all day Today's craft is yet another star glove, this time for @twomeeps.bsky.social ❤️🤍
Yesterday I went to a creatives' social in Preston (while masked up because I have a bad cold and I don't want to spread this to anyone) And I left these words on the communal drawing paper
Let's play a game of Then vs Now Then was August 2022 and now is May 2026 (featuring @disomikron.bsky.social's persona from Hip Campus, one of his splatbands) Safe to say that I've dramatically improved over the last four years #art #splatoon #splatoonfanart
Made my single most unique beaded hairclip yet. The strap body is a lens strap(?) that the spouse didn't need anymore so you can bet I kandi'd this one through
Here's today's craft, set to my actual music this time. The song is "glass rainbow," which you can find on my Bandcamp These are beaded hairclips in LGBTQ pride colours, with letter charms spelling out "How beautiful you are," and I ended them with broken chain links that I painted in rainbow
Fashioned a star glove and a star ring. I actually fashioned a bunch of these after learning the patterns for them yesterday
Fashioned a rainbow beaded earring out of parts I otherwise wouldn't use — old chains, pendant I wasn't gonna use otherwise because it looked too plain
