Dryden Goodwin's work brings together three elements: a frame containing 588 drawings, a stop-frame animation made from those drawings, and a film entitled The Making of the Queue which documents Goodwin's process and conversations with some of those who queued to pay their respects.

The King’s Speech sets out the government agenda for the next session of Parliament.
Today was the State Opening of Parliament, this marks the start of the new parliamentary year.
The King's Speech is handed over by the Lord Chancellor, David Lammy MP. It is written by the government and outlines plans for the next Parliamentary session.
Black Rod is sent to the @houseofcommons.parliament.uk to summon MPs to listen to the King's Speech in the @houseoflords.parliament.uk
Watch the State Opening of Parliament ⬇️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgO_... This is the only time the three constituent parts of Parliament – the monarch, House of Lords and UK House of Commons – meet. The King reads a speech in the Lords Chamber, setting out the upcoming agenda of the government.

This is the crown cloth. During the State Opening of Parliament, the King wears the Imperial State Crown. Before the King's arrival, the crown is displayed in the Royal Gallery sitting upon this cloth. 👑
Parliament has now prorogued. This is the formal end of the parliamentary session. Parliament will not meet again until a new session formally begins with State Opening and the King’s Speech, 13 May.
They shipped it from Venice to London by steamboat and it was carefully assembled 60 feet in the air above Central Lobby. You can still see the mosaic, cared for by Parliament’s Heritage Collections Team, when you visit Central Lobby today.
Sir Edward Poynter designed the mosaic with symbols of England, representing this part of the UK at the heart of Parliament. Using these references, the Venice and Murano glass company produced the mosaic in sections.

Crook designed a protective angel in the classical style, the sculptural details reflect the significance of the Lying-in-State. Inspired by the angels on the hammer beam roof of Westminster Hall, angels adorn the sides of the robes.
A memorial angel sculpture in bronze has been unveiled to mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth. Eleanor Crook’s sculpture forms part of a new collection of works by six artists to commemorate the Lying-in-State of Elizabeth II.
