Workers need to protect ourselves from harassment or worse. We’ve been on strike for 50 days to win it. BOYCOTT THE EMBASSY SUITES by HILTON SEATTLE DOWNTOWN UNTIL STRIKERS WIN OUR CONTRACT!
During the Minneapolis ICE surge, Hilton said ICE agents were welcome to stay at its hotels – they even removed their brand and loyalty program from one hotel after it cancelled agents’ bookings. Now Hilton won’t promise to tell us if ICE comes to Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Downtown.
Workers can’t afford the status quo. Seattle’s hospitality industry can’t afford a long strike. Hilton and Steinhauer can afford to end the strike. Read our strike impact analysis: unitehere8.org/strikeimpact/
Owners and managers know – hotel strikes are bad for business. One lost client is now costing the Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Pioneer Square $18,500 per week. What are Hilton and Greg Steinhauer thinking? Puget Sound Business Journal: www.bizjournals.com/seattle/pres...
The fight is contagious. Last month, restaurant workers at The Walrus and the Carpenter were inspired by our strike at the Embassy Suites, walked out and stayed out until they won their contract. Now their union continues to have our back.
Big thank you to Councilmember Dionne Foster and other Seattle city officials for honoring our Embassy Suites strikers at last week's "Hotel Worker Day!" CM Foster has stood with Local 8 members time and again as a candidate and elected official.

You walk up to your hotel, ready to start your vacation, but there’s a picket line?! Embassy Suites isn’t warning guests about the Seattle hotel strike… so hotel workers are making sure customers are informed. The labor dispute has led to guest demands for refunds.
