As our conversation with Diederik Halbertsma draws to a close, we ask him to reflect on the PhD experience. His comments are SO relatable... "There were definitely difficult times when I doubted all of my life choices, but I'm very glad I stuck with it and pushed ahead."

Salma Shalaby, a PhD student at @ljmuofficial.bsky.social, is using VR to explore how people recognise early signs of emotional distress. The VR session contains no distressing or graphic images; the study is open to students aged 18+ from all universities. Details on the attached poster!
