today's a rough day for me emotionally, just woke up on the wrong side of the bed overall, but i would be remiss to not mention Trans Day of Visibility today.

as someone whose concept of self has never really been stable, especially in terms of my gender identity, watching the state of the world as it is always fills me with a great sense of dread. i love being queer, and i will never stop being queer. but that does not mean i'm not afraid.

but today, it's really important to remember: that we are loved, and we always will be, no matter what government bodies and hate filled groups want us to think. we can and will stand together, no matter what happens.

i love my trans friends so fucking much and i want nothing more than for us to be able to succeed in our own ways, but especially, in terms of being comfortable in our bodies and in our minds.

if you are a cisgender individual reading this, i dearly hope you are an ally, because we need you now more than ever. stand up for your transgender community, vote in our favor, and protect us from those who want us dead, homeless, isolated, in asylum.
