Hello, I mainly work on Cookie Takeshi
Thought I should give an update to this, I’ve decided to go forward with redrawing every instance of Danny throughout volume 1–4, as well as completely redoing an additional two chapters “Iro’s Delivery” (formerly Iro’s Tamago Run) and “Cookie Saves Mira Winter”
I needed to get some reference because I’ve never had King Buttercup stand inside the cafe before and I wanted to see how tall he would be. Since he’s too big to actually be inside without sitting this was the next best option
However, after Farewell, Beloved Falco ended, Dream Drunker didn’t return, possibly because the artist was hired by Nintendo soon after. A few years later, he then became the primary 2D artist of the Mario series, a position he still holds currently
The comic stopped because the artist (and then editor of Nintendo Dream) was asked to make an official supervised manga as a promotional lead in to StarFox Adventures “Farewell, Beloved Falco,” which took Dream Drunker’s spot in the magazine until it wrapped up
Spent a lot of today and yesterday reading through the “Dream Drunker” comics that were in 64Dream (later Nintendo Dream) from 1998 to 2002 and it makes me sad just how little coverage there is on them given what a cool piece of Nintendo history they are
I was looking through some promotional tweets from the page of the irl Shirokuma Cafe and this suit made me want to potentially get a similar suit made for a character like King Buttercup (his size/proportions make the most sense), I think I would wear it for promotional stuff
Another question regarding 1-4 I’ve gone back and redrawn a few panels/entire pages (along with chapters 1–3 being redone completely) but I was wondering if I should go back and make it so that Danny has his Demon World design onward for the previous chapters he appeared in or if I should leave it
Next few days will be spent on formatting and then they’ll be set to release
In addition or alternatively to those, would you like it if these headers were at the top of each page for their respective volume or would you prefer they not be there?
This is something I’ve been undecided on when it comes to Volume 1–4’s formatting, so I thought I should ask for your opinion. Would you prefer each volume get a cover page indicating that’s the current one you’re on, or would you rather it smoothly lead into the next chapter
I decided to try and do art fight this year, I might be a little busy but I’ll still try to do my best artfight.net/~windowl_
The melody appeared in a different commercial but with the rest of the Pokemon from that first verse, so it appears that the 1025 song is referencing a song called “Can you Name all the Pokemon” which was on the first CD single created for the series and used for promotion of the card game
I just learned that a small segment at the beginning of the song is a reference to a 1998 Japanese commercial for the card game
