Snow adorable! Hoo? It’s some of our newest hatchlings: a precious pair of snowy owl chicks. This is the first pair of snowy owl hatchlings at the zoo in six years! The chicks were hatched June 10 to parents, mom June and dad Dusty 💗

It's berry season and you have the tiniest friends. These critically endangered babies are Egyptian tortoises that hatched on July 4 and 6, 2026. Currently, our Egyptian tortoises are living behind the scenes in a warm and cozy habitat with lots of attention from their dedicated animal keepers.

The emerald tree monitor is native to New Guinea. He uses his long prehensile tail—2x his body length—to grasp branches in search of bugs, eggs or tiny animals. This 2-yr-old is a fave of animal keeper Andrew, who describes him as smart and calm. Find this jewel in the new Forest Trailhead exhibit.💎

When it comes to turtles, this guy is an eye-con! The four-eyed turtle has a unique courtship display. The male paddles his arms and bobs his head up and down in the water. Bowie is back! The adorable 1-year-old sloth bear has recovered from surgery to repair a fractured femur in her right thigh. Bowie has healed well and has returned to her Banyan Wilds habitat with her mom, Kushali. Stop by and see this gorgeous floof on your next visit!
