I think it's particularly the unsettled grief during the RE9 scene at the Kendo shop that leaves a bad taste in my mouth that everyone insists Leon has to be with Ada, because he is still struggling so much with how she behaved there and no one else seems to even take notice of it or care at all.

It also has a very sad and tragic ending and I'm not really sure the world is healed enough for another sad queer story right now. Especially since how it ends is pretty much hinted at from the beginning.
