Hello, I'm Megan. I have a team of working Siberian Huskies known as Yukikaze Siberians. My main focus is mushing and sometimes we dabble in dog sports.
Sometimes you look at a dog in your yard and just go wow. Umaroth is one of my favorite Yona kids build wise ♥️
I have a surprise from Alaska coming in the coming weeks. I had originally backed out of this litter because funds were just too tight with buying the house right now, but Jaye offered me a co own agreement and the timing worked out for when Jaye is coming down. Introducing Jasnah! ♥️
The pollutant level has been falling all day, which is a HUGE relief. They do say tomorrow afternoon will bring a new wave of it, but I'm glad for even a day of cleaner air so it's not so nonstop.
I am stressed for my dogs 😫 the air quality is NOT good here one bit.

It's a war on flies here at the kennel. I've had fly traps out the past couple months and am using SWAT and Wondercide but it doesn't seem to be touching them. I've got more Wondercide ordered, plus First Saturday Lime and a homemade mix a friend ordered of Pyrethrin / Mineral Oil on the way. Ugh! 😫

I took Starlight to the vet for bloodwork in preparation for her spay next week. The good news: her bloodwork was fantastic! The bad news: I realized from a tiny pink smear after leaving the exam room that she is in heat, a month and a half early. We shall have to push it off a while longer!

There was a rainbow over the house last night. Maybe a good omen for the new home? I hope so! So far $1900 in earnest money, $700 for inspection, and still gotta hear back on the appraisal. Oy vey! Please send good vibes that this all goes through without any issues 🤞
Saphira would like to show everyone her tunnel. She's very good at digging them, as she did this within hours after I had fully filled in the other two she had going.
Today the winter collars finally got switched out for the summer collars (for those who had them) and the winter collars were washed (yes, ultimate procrastinator over here on that). I found myself surprised at how many dogs actually need summer collars and boomerang tags ordered 🫣 next on my to do.
The babies are two weeks today 🥹 we think Eris is bi eyed, Weywot brown eyed, and Pluto blue eyed. We'll know for sure in the next week or so. Yesterday would've been their father's 11th birthday, and while I'm still grieving him, I'm also thankful he gave us these little treasures before he left. ♥️
