Lucifer's philosophy is that his door is always open & if anyone needs anything they can just come up & ask. Which is incongruent with Charlie, who struggles to ask for help in effort to prove herself It's frustrating bc when Lucifer IS present, he's actually quite apt at problem solving & support
Charlie's active approach has positively affected the community in her Hotel. But her destructive external need for validation also manifests by being pushy, breaking boundaries & being single minded at times So when folks watch this scene & say Lucifer would do the same thing, I have to disagree
Which leads me to believe that the crux of Charlie's need for validation has always stemmed from her mother. This is especially apparent in S2 Charlie NEEDS the Hotel to work cuz in her mind, it's directly tied to her mother's approval & return

I don’t think Alastor likes Charlie if this screenshot is anything to go by 🫠 But I do think he respects her tenacity. Charlie is an unstoppable force, much like Alastor is, except she uses it for good instead of evil. That’s why his line about guiding her potential scares me 😳

I think it was intentional to initially show Lucifer as a menacing figure. That’s what folks expect from the Devil! All that build-up was so when Lu turns around & he’s nice, he not only subverts audience expectations, but also Charlie’s It wouldn’t land if he was just being cute from the start
When Viv said Hazbin S3 will be the purple & green season, I thought the purple stood for Lilith or maybe Valentino & the green stood for Alastor But purple & green is definitely just Alastor’s alternate color scheme. I think he’s shaping up to be the main big bad of the season 👀
Really good analysis!! I’d also point out that Charlie’s not stupid. She knows that Al acts suspiciously. But the good outweighs the bad in her eyes. It’s Charlie’s best quality! But it’ll also likely lead her to getting hurt 😔
