Picture of a block of text: Storyboards had played a critical role in the development of Inquisition. We wanted to integrate them into our process even earlier. To that end, we created an interactive storyboard. Starting with the early drafts of the story, we sketched it all out, including any major choices. These boards were then stitched together into a playable choose-your-own-adventure-style game. It meant that years before the real game was up on its feet, an early draft of the entire story could be played from beginning to end. This was invaluable in receiving early feedback from the team and planning out what visuals would be needed to support the game.

look at him. He’s SUCH an asshole. God. He’s only in the game for all of 30 seconds and almost certainly most players just hear “demon working with red lyrium” and kill him as soon as they can. Which, when I put it like that……. yeah… you SHOULD just kill him…… but I love him…

With a grunt, he smashed the pommel of his sword against the glowing rune on the nearest stone.
"Hey!" Imshael shouted. "We had a bar-gain! You made a choice!" He lunged for the ruby.
Michel brought his pommel down again with all the force he could bring to bear, and the rune snapped and sizzled, then went dark. All around the circle, the stones shattered like blown glass.
The demon let out an unearthly cry and fell to his knees, clutching at his chest. The air around him crackled with red light, and he warped and twisted upon himself, as though he were but a reflection in a pond, and someone had dropped a stone into the water.
"Are you quite finished?" Felassan asked, rolling his eyes.
And with a tiny roll of thunder, the light faded, and Imshael stood up.
The grass where he had knelt showed foot-prints.
"Thank you, yes, I believe so," Imshael said, and strode out of the circle.

"You know, you've got a good point," Felas-san said. "Fire and swords are dull. But what if something bigger was coming?"
"I'm listening, Slow Arrow," said the demon. "What could you possibly do that you and I have not seen a hundred times before while the sweaty mortals lusted and grappled and bled their lives away?"
Felassan said nothing, just smiled, twisting the tattoos around his face.
"Oh, my," Imshael breathed. "Is that a promise?"
"Well, I was going for more of a threat."

We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.
We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.
In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that, including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.
