Absolutely love this sassy little strut Pierce Charles does on goal kicks.
Been thinking all day about how Reacher killed a guy by crushing him between two of those rolling bookcases you only find in the basement of libraries. I’m not sure who the producers think their target audience is, but I feel like most people with PhDs feared they would die this way.
You had me at “William H. Macy’s bizarre bald cap.” I would have said nobody could possibly look like that but then…Marc Andreessen. He is weird looking but they really did him dirty.
For the Philly and Jersey folks out there. A soccer player named Christ Wawa.
Anyone who knows anything about sports media knows that being a sideline reporter is all about asking the tough questions and standing firm. You ask a "tough question" that's no more than 4 seconds long. Then the person you're interviewing says 5 words and immediately disappears into a tunnel.
@vappu.bsky.social watching Finland in the U18 Women’s EuroBasket Semifinal against France.
Spain's performance in this tournament reminds me of this Division B game from when I was working at FIBA. Bosnia and Herzegovina 236 Armenia 27. BIH shot 85% from the field but only made two threes.
Really excited to be in Stockholm piloting a potential experiential learning opportunity related to youth sports. Today was photo day which they didn't do when I worked at FIBA, but is really a lot of fun.
Heading to the land of not being left penniless just because you got sick.
It rules that after two years of Trump fully going for it. Indulging in all the worst and most violent right wing fantasies, and failing on pretty much every single front, the outcome is a "modest" advantage for Dems. I really think the 2-party system is under discussed as the root problem.
Most right thinking people like Venzia’s kit, but truly the best part is the sad waif models they use. So on brand.
Moving on to my totally normal fixation with a second division english club.
The guy just tried to do something nice for a person he doesn’t know and is heavily in debt to the gambling company he works for and this is what he gets?
Full disclosure, I don’t know a thing about this guy, but I like living in a place where someone campaigning for sheriff has a lawn sign with a sunflower on it instead of an A.I. generated bald eagle with a bunch of unhoused people or migrant workers in its talons.
Currently playing small ball in my team of former college stars who have been naturalized to play for the national team of countries they definitely have no connection to.
I know this makes me an uncultured soccer clod but this will never not drive me nuts. This IS NOT what the offside rule is about, I'm sorry.
I only have my perverse media fascinations to blame but I’ve been getting this guy’s content on LinkedIn a lot. He just “follows wealthy people around” and interviews them for like 90 seconds. 99.9999% of them are doing the most boring extractive sh*t possible.
Shout out to Kafana, my favorite NYC spot these days. This is my idea of a perfect afternoon. Soccer on the TV, mixed grille and an Eastern European pilsner.
I like getting my soccer commentary from two guys who 100% would have shoved you in a locker for caring about the sport when they were in high school.
