I’ve sneaked away with @jeniiannettahardie.bsky.social for a Sunday lunch adventure. Nailed it at #Grandtully #Ballintaggart
So, bus has pulled up covering the entire frontage of the cafe. Why? - it’s a private hire for a wedding ( Kyle and Sarah) - it’s the closest the bus can park to Muir of Ord Co-Op 1/4 mile away - why the Co-Op? Well, they need a carry out, obvs Scottish Weddings are the best.
I went seasonal for dinner tonight. For more recipe suggestions, see bio.
Pizza night at Casa Cattiva Ragazza That was a fucking good pizza! (This was the boys’ pizza, @jeniiannettahardie.bsky.social went Berlin-style)
Last nights “Culinary Class War” meal with @jeniiannettahardie.bsky.social Instant noodles, cooked chicken, broccoli and an egg. All ingredients from the Co-op in the village. Felt like cheating, but delicious.
The Beauly Co-op cat was on shift today, welcoming all the customers.
It’s Thursday evening, overcast but warm. What are we going to do for dinner, @jeniiannettahardie.bsky.social ? I know; @nigella.bsky.social’s Tuna, Lemon & Rocket pasta!
God, I can’t imagine. The nearest I got to that was having to make the decision to dress “softer” when I shaved. Combats and 14 hole docs hit differently when you’ve got long hair: people don’t get nervous around you. Shave, and suddenly people are side- eyeing you.
I got my hair bleached in Gibson Street in ‘86. Looked great, but roots showed within days. Worse than that though, was playing with Crazy Colour temporary hair dyes (remember them?). Didn’t know my hair would just suck the colour in. Permanently. Pinks, greens, blues, reds…
Wildflower pics from yesterdays dog walk. Orchid-tastic in most places plus a fragrant mint-like plant on riverside that I couldn’t ID.
Not exactly a stile, but saw this today and thought of you.
The only thing better than Bog Myrtle is Bog Myrtle and a spaniel.
First of the Chanterelles appearing in the garden. In June. Does that seem really early?
It’s a garden centre on a Sunday, but not your usual…
It’s our Friday night, so tunes on, doors and windows open, glasses filled. Drink responsibly, and remember to hydrate. Happy Friday from @jeniiannettahardie.bsky.social and me.
Now constant lighting, thunder and biblical rain. It’s quite exciting.
