Consider that even though a photo and a statement has been posted, it doesn’t *really* count as proof of life anymore because of the massive amounts of high-end misinformation that technology has enabled. Live footage with multiple simultaneous sources is required. The rest is too easy to fake.

Just waiting for that time when AI is making games for AI to play and AI influencers stream to audiences of AI bots because the people that make games have all been replaced, no one can afford to buy games because they lost their jobs to “progress” and the algorithms respond best to automated slop.
The move away from physical copies of video games makes me all the more grateful to have “grown up” developing in a time where I got to do things like design manuals and ship Disney Infinity. The boxes, discs, books, and figures I have are that much more special to me.

The GenAI scams are so prevalent, we’re at the point where you shouldn’t trust anything you see advertised. What’s the name of this starship? What’s the ship registry number? What are the dates on that anniversary? At least this one is blatant. There are many more that are far more subtle.
