More Everybody's Perfect mask aliens, here's a Lindassi lady (maybe Shiriel) with a little dog.
People have asked about the mask aliens in Everybody's Perfect, so here is a Laodikan (left) and a Zanguo enjoying Venice.
Sundaes at Juliette & Chocolat this morning to celebrate the release of Everybody's Perfect. The chocolate one was mine, and tasted even better than it looks! @gretchenmcculloch.com
Ten years today since @adapalmer.bsky.social's Too Like the Lightning came out! Still my favourite series of the twenty-first century so far.
Today! My first novel in six years! Everybody's Perfect! Delany once titled a story "A Tale of Plagues and Carnivals." But what if more plague and more carnivals? What if Venice but less substantial? And more magical? With immigration and friendship? It's a bit weird but I hope you like it anyway.
Just four days until Everybody's Perfect comes out! My first new novel since 2020, a story in nine hands of fantasy Venice. us.macmillan.com/books/978125...
Just four days before my new Venice novel Everybody's Perfect hits the shelves, and here are my author copies arranged with some tapestry cushions! us.macmillan.com/books/978125...
Six days until Everybody's Perfect comes out, my first novel since 2020, and here's a picture of me with my author copies not looking weird at all... maybe this should be my author photo for this book!
One week from today, Everybody's Perfect comes out! us.macmillan.com/books/978125...
One week from today, Everybody's Perfect will be out! Two weeks from today, I'm doing a book launch event for it at Argo, on Ste Catherine near Guy metro, Montreal. There will be reading and signing.
Incredibly, three weeks today EVERYBODY'S PERFECT (my first new novel since 2020) will be released! Gorgeous cover by Caroline Jamhour
#SomethingBeautiful Venice. This is an example of something I talk about in Everybody's Perfect. The close up stuff is clear and in focus, and the further away stuff is a bit misty and the distance is just hazed away.
#SomethingBeautiful Life finds a way: a little poppy springing up between Roman flagstones
#SomethingBeautiful a new still life from my aunt Mary Lace, just finished yesterday!
#SomethingBeautiful Venice... this is another one I looked at a lot when writing Everybody's Perfect.
#SomethingBeautiful Venice, gondolas, another photo I looked at a lot while writing Evwetbody's Perfect.
