#NowListening Tuesday morning work spins; #Immolation - 'Descent'. How a band 30+ years into their career can sound so fucking good is beyond me, but the last 5 albums have been straight up (everlasting) 🔥. Not to mention they sound just as good live, AND they're Insanely nice dudes. 😊
#NowListening Monday morning work spins; #AliceInChains, S/T. I've been returning to this album quite a lot lately; a decidedly more depressing affair than 'Dirt', but still so fucking good. If the previous album was a suicide note (of sorts), this is a eulogy and coffin all rolled into one. 😞
#NowListening #Failure, "Location Lost". Not as immediately in love with this one as I was with "Wild Type Droid"; it's definitely slower with slightly softer edges. But still some great stuff here - particularly the opener 'Crash Test Delayed' and 'The Air's On Fire'.
#HappyBirthday, Ma. You would have been 71 today; only 9 years older than I am now when you passed. Think about that alot, as it gets closer every year. 😞
