Seriously. I literally named the stick figure version 'A Preschooler's Version of the Idea', and then JJ Ariosa handed me the other one to put into The Cog That Remains (www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...). It really did feel like sorcery, it was awesome.

2: I didn't bother changing the skill names for Reloaded, but I did add one. 'XP' is a skill that starts off without a die rating - meaning it's unusable - and you can increase it by defeating Obstacles multiple times. You can use it for anything - that you've already encountered in a previous loop.

"Repetition makes for a good teacher. XP is an extra Skill representing
the character’s experience with the time loop they find themselves
trapped in. Unlike the other Skills, it has a rating of d0 and cannot be
used at the start of the game. You’ll have to earn it, upgrading to a d4
the first time you do and improving it from there. Once you’ve got it,
you can use it for anything - at least, for anything that you’ve already
run into at least once."

1: Breathless RPGs usually have a 'catch your breath' mechanic that restores die ratings with a catch. In Breathless itself the GM introduces a complication. In 'A Stern Chase Is A Long Chase' the Enemy Fleet gets closer. In Reloaded you have to die, and get sent back to the start of the time loop.

"When the last character dies, the loop resets - everyone wakes up,
perfectly alive, back at the Starting Point. All Skill and Permanent
Extra dice are reset to their maximum rating, all Temporary Extras
are erased, all Wounds and Stunt uses are unmarked, and any active
clocks that are contained within the context of the loop that just
ended are blanked out - this does not apply to clocks that are tracking
things across multiple loops, like a Obstacle’s Mastered clock."
